Favorite Deodorant?

i have three favorites:
  • right guard sport antiperspirant and deodorant aerosol unscented. this stuff is so powerful! once when i was in a pinch i stole this from my brother. completely sweatproof. it is perfect for running or hot 100 degree days
  • dove cool sensations antiperspirant and deodorant with cucumber and green tea extracts. one of the few women's deodorants that doesn't smell like a baby's butt
  • tom's of maine. love it love it love it. it smells yummy and is aluminum free. not the best protection, but it will not cause you any irritation. good for sensitive skin.

I ONLY use unscented Mitchum, it works so well. I only wear fragrance free because I dont like the way deodorant normally smells AND I dont like my deodorant and fragrance to clash.

God, I used my sisters deodorant one day when I ran out of my Mitchum, my clothes still smell of powder or whatever that shite smells like.

Crystal Stick user here. It's a mineral salt "stick" that you wet under water and apply. A stick is supposed to last only one year but mine has lasted for 5 years already and I think it has at least 5 more years in it. You still sweat, but sweat is a good thing. Sweating is the body's natural detox system for purging impurities. Someone asked about why it's bad for women not to sweat and I think it's because toxin buildup may contribute to breast cancer. Of course, men too "need" to sweat because when they get breast cancer, it is nearly always fatal for them. My $0.02...

that's why there is a difference between deoderant and anti-perspirant. i use only deodorant.
besides, i asked my doc about that, and they said that it wasn't true abt the breast cancer links..but you never know.
anyway, i did use that crystal before. i just was never sure if i smelled sweaty/salty...you know that smell. so i rather know my deodorant is working with something powdery. lol

clarins has a blue doedarant spray. i love it, it smells so clean and its not a anti perspirant. i actually get swollen under my armpits and it hurt. my doctor said it was from blocked sweat glands so i can no longer wear antiPerpirants

^ Wow if that's true then that could explain the yellowish sweat" stains on the underarms of my white shirts. I hate those.
I use Rexona 24 hour antiperspirant deodarant and it works against the stickiness for normal activities. The smell is also unobtrusive.

Thanks Bluestar07, I'm using Rexona now :p.

Couldn't find the unscented, so I picked up the Rexona Crystal antiperspirant deodorant. It smells like a light perfume. Love that it doesn't make me smell alumium, but my shirt stinks a bit. For other deodorants, my armpit smells alumium while my shirt doesn't stink. Any help? I wanna try the stick next time, but afraid that it would make my armpit feel sticky  , someone here use stick, please give some comments.

And is it bad if the deodorant contains alcolhol? I am such a pig when it comes to deodorant.

One more thing, can a girl use Rexona for men? There is no "unscented" word on the label, and I don't wanna smell like a boy. And here in Sweden, there aren't many to choose. I see only Rexona, Dove, Nivea, Axe and some other infamous ones. Can't find Mitchum, Ban and so on. Anyone in Sweden help?

i use vichy anti-transpirant roll on, it's unscented, gentle (a lot of antiperspirants are so harsh, but i can use this one directly after i shaved my armpits) and really works. it's a bit more expensive than most deos, but wort it.
well, alcohol is never good for the skin (except for some faty alcohols) it irritates skin.

The one I like, and the only one that has worked for me, because I sweat profusely, is Avon's Pink Suede roll-on. It has been discontinued, but it lasts and lasts. I just have to give myself an extra few minutes when getting ready to allow it to dry because if it isn't it doesn't do diddly. I can't use anything in any store because it just doesn't work, even Degree for Men. I don't usually use women's ones because they tend to be florals or powders, and a lot of them make me kinda nauseous, so to get a deodorant that smells like the perfume I like is amazing.

I guess I am buying a new one because I usually buy whatever is on sale or catches my eye, right now I'm using Secret Platinum in Vanilla, but it's not really doing anything? And it smells very chemically too.. I'm going to look at that Vichy one Toulouse Monroe is using :)

I'm a person who needs to use a antiperspirant. It helps control the heavy sweat odor I might develop during the day. I like to use "Right Guard Sport Fresh scent" or "Lab Series for men" ultra dry unscented. Once and a while I'll use deodorant and when I do, its Perry Ellis White or Lanvin L'Homme. Too much antiperspirant is bad for your system, it contains Aluminum thats bad for the brain and the overall system.

Uhh, my deodorant contains alcohol. I didn't know it till I brought it home. But it's ok so far, perhaps my skin is unsensitive :D. I'll check the Vichy one, is it good when you play sport?
