those are some of my favorites:p
I could post some more If you'd like^_^

wow, Jennifer, Hans Hoffman paintings are amazing, I didn't know him.
And Kandinsky is one of my favourites, so vibrant colours!
I've been in a Russian impresionists exhibition today, and there were two early Kandinskys (post-impresionist landscapes, painted before his abstract period but already with lovely vibrant colours). I didn't know that the exhibition had those Kandinskys, it has been a nice surprise for me!

I really like Edward Hopper. I wouldn’t say he’s the best painter technically but his paintings always have a lot of atmosphere

You're lucky, I'd be thrilled! You remind me not to neglect posting his early work any longer, I have an appreciation for it just the same. Even his pointillist-style paintings are beautiful.

There's a road I'd often pass which looks nearly like the one depicted here:

So I can't decide whether I love it or hate it...

Even still, I think his paintings have a universal quality; his character are always in the midst of life... doing the ordinary. So everyone's been there before. I love that aspect of his work.

This is just adding to what I said before but a little more indepth.

Michelangelo - first his sketches, simply amazing, also in particular the sculpture Pieta, and sculptures in the tomb Lorenzo de Medici, aside form his major works

Paul Cezanne - later more cubist like works 1902 - 1906

Edouard Manet - The Port of Boulogne in Moonlight

Pablo Picasso - cubist period

Also this artist Wilbur Blair, its a small picture but i like his use of color and ive just been psyched on his work recently

The two paintings I saw were similar to this. If I'm not wrong this is called something like Winter in Bavaria, or something about winter, and the two seen were something called Autumm.

The two paintings I saw were similar to this. They were called Autumm, and Autumm by the river, or something like that, and, if I'm not wrong this is called something with Winter, or Winter in Bavaria.

:woot: wow jennifer~! those paintings are divine! I love pointilism-styled paintings!
My fav at the moment: Paul Signac
soo beautiful.. this one is called " The Pink Clouds" or "Le Nuage Rose" if I'm correct :flower:

I love pointillism too! Signac paintings are very beautiful, Georges Seurat is, maybe, more well-known, but I prefer Signac.

Georgia O'Keefe for saying, 'I hate flowers - I paint them because they're cheaper than models and they don't move'.
