For those who can remember the lovely Lorraine Pascale from her work in the 90s, she's now a chef with her own cookery TV series (news.bbc.co.uk

She tried a number of career paths including modelling, interior design and working as a mechanic before presenting Baking Made Easy on BBC Two.

She grew up in Oxford where her father, a teacher at Oxford College, inspired her to search for the perfect job. "I wanted to do something different, something that was more fulfilling for me, so I just set out on this journey," she said.

Lorraine's new show is aimed at bringing baking into 2011. "Baking is fun, it's easy, it's therapeutic, it's relaxing, it's a joy really," she said.

Love this thread yes we all know the faces of color that we see on a regular basis i.e. Chanel Iman, Sesilee, and Jourdann, though I love them it is refreshing especially from a models pov to see such variety.

Thats SI "go to" women as far as women of color. The editors of SI swimsuit are narrow-minded and their range of beauty is short stepped.

SI missed the mark this year.

I like Jessica and Damaris but yeesh! I researched all the models of color for SI and yes all of our favorites from Tyra to Georgina Robertson(I miss her) are there but now a days it's crazy. Not too sure we will ever see Quiana or Selita back they only made it in once. But Jessica has been in 9 years from 03-11 so hopefully next year she finally lands the cover. I am more than ready to take her place
