Wow,Ebony has got to do better...but its nice to see Alek on a US cover and Iman she really has had a great few months of late. I'd keep those two,since I mean this is fashion Ebony's talking about right?! But it makes no sense how they picked the girls.

I don't know if the magazine is a pull out cover with additional models. If not, Ebony should at least put an up a coming model on the cover.

Ebony isn't the type to put an up and comer on the cover. When my granny gets that issue in the mail she wants to see somebody that she recognizes Vogue doesn't do that anymore either. Besides, if the issue is about the industry in general then I guess it makes sense to have Tyra on the cover, b/c of ANTM, and Kimora because of Baby Phat. Also, it's possible that they asked other people who declined the offer.

I hope they get a lot of good feedback and that this becomes an annual tradition for them. Maybe it will get better in the years to come.

^^I've noticed that. It would have been nice for them to "break tradition" and have one with the rest of the established models. I don't think it would have hurt sales. In fact, it might earn them some new younger readers.

Alot actually, this IS a Black thread. It has been done before without any complaints. I don't think it hurts to discuss something like racism and/or discrimation here. It happens everyone you go, even in the fashion industry. So why not talk about those things and post other example happening right now in the world while we're at it?!

Yeah,I do...was she even posted here though?! BTW,Simply I checked out the Ebony issue & well they explained it...basically it was a matter of availability & they didn't hide that factor! Which was honest & made more sense b/c there have been & still are more visable & successful faces in fashion than who they put on the cover.
