theres a new IMG model that is really doin great at the shows, not sure if her name though. Unfortunately am not too keen on her look she always seems bored. Meanwhil has anyone noticed that London is very unfriendly to black girls, also the bigger shows in NY lie Donna Karan, Calvin Klein...

Yes. I only see top models Naomi, Alek, and Liya. And sometimes Ajuma.

I really don't get it. I find it disgusting.:yuk:

this girl?? chloe

She's not a model, but I just wanted to post to everyone in the thread to go out and buy the March 2007 issue of Vogue. Jennifer Hudson is on the cover, and good sales could mean more black women begin getting covers. :flower:

I've actually added some pics of Chloe Goodrum in this thread and made a thread for her. I think she looks very pretty without makeup, but that is just my opinion;)

But still there's not enough black models, especially during London Fashion Week!

unfortunately though IMO her cover was rather mediocre it looked like a Glamour or Vogue living cover and there was nothing high fashion about it. I do believe Jenniffer Hudson has more than that in her.

I ran into some editors at Bryant Park who were literally sitting with their laptops composing an article about the lack of black models on runways (more in NYC than Europe as they were interviewing Max Azria). I can't remember the magazine but it might be from Chicago...

London is so weird becuase they actually like a really stong Afro-centric look for black girls but they don't get onto the runways. Check out my friend Awuoi at Storm though. She rocks!

^ Thank you so much electricladyland for posting that. And a big thanks to those girls for making the video. I think it is so improtant for blacks to know all of the things most of us have been lacking and need to improve on; How important it is to teach our children to love themselves and know "black is beauty." :flower:
