Fendi S/S 2023 Milan

Easily his worst collection to date. Everyone looked confused or bored and the clothes... I know it's Kim Jones and I know his New York collection was bad, but this one was way worse. All the clashes of textures were unfortunate, the colour palette was absolutely lifeless and the shoes were too close to Bottega Veneta for my liking. At this point I wish I knew how this stuff actually sells because Fendi has clearly lost its authority. I also can't believe that the same team worked with Karl, it's just not possible. Not to mention how poorly made everything looked.

This show was disastrous. The colours fought each other for dominance. All the clothing seemed to droop in the weirdest way possible. The "silk" looked cheap. One of the models had to carry her shoes, because they fell off twice. The music drove me insane.

This was dreadful. It was all so lank, from the hair to the colours (what were they thinking), the shoes, the model's attitude, the setting and that insufferable music. Did have hope that the music was going to transition into something by Deee-Lite at first to make watching it even better but no, yet another thing to be disappointed in Kim Jones by. The shoes also remind of the abominations Matthew Williams deisgned for one his Givenchy collections but they are of a similar mind so not really surprised.

It just didn't go anywhere. The only exciting thing was the model taking her shoes off in front of Anna Wintour and rightfully so. They were garbage, the collection was garbage and I'm that I really did waste my time watching this straggly show.

I never look at the audience during fashion shows, so I didn't realize that it was in front of Anna Wintour. Yikes.

Maybe, maaaybe this means he will not actually get that Dior womenswear gig? These days you never know what conglomerates are thinking, but I dont think they expected Kim's Fendi to be such an incredible fail. Im just struggling to find words every time, it's always so bland and empty in every possible sense

Felt like they were trying emulate brands like Acne, or something out of Copenhagen FW, but the soulless corporate version of it.

I don't know why he's failing this hard at womenswear. Say what you want about his menswear, but any Dior collection is better than this.

Nothing moved me. But I guess there are a lot of « products » so the suits are happy.

I'm dying! Vogue Runway actually uploaded the picture of the barefoot model!

No cropping, no Photoshop. :rofl::rofl::rofl:

HORRIBLE!!!
It looked nothing like a Fendi show.
Terrible color palette, fabrics, 0 glamour, 0 sexiness. Just clinical boredom it was like an ugly hybrid of Prada, Celine and other designers.

This Fendi collection from almost 20 years ago is 1000000X more relevant than this sh!t.

It just goes to show Karl was a fashion genius.

That collection is exquisite. I never liked Karl's work for Chanel, but his tenure at Fendi is in my top 5.

This is what you get when Mr Jones is on his own: No collab, no supermodels stunt…Pure trash.
I hate what Fendi has become under his tenure. I hate it!
I can really think of 3 Fendi by Karl collections I didn’t like in the past 20 years. And this is probably worst.

No statement, no creation, no inventivity. Pragmatism and commercialism at it worst.

This brand used to be one of my go to Italian brand and now, it looks like a poor’s man but much more expensive MSGM. Terrible!

Are they going to make that shade of green Fendi green, if so, DON'T? One Bottega is obnoxious enough, we don't need another one.

This collection just proves that Kim is no colorist, and he should stick to neutral colors from now. Because his use of colors is just so tacky and without nuance.

Everything about this show is just messy.
I see a lot of preferences from other contemporary brands done in the worse way.
Without Collab with a big name, his clothes are beyond bland.
What is the inspiration behind the hair? Crazy auntie strolling around her house.
The tailoring is atrocious and the cut of those cargo pants is just unflattering. I'm surprised that for a menswear designer his tailoring for womenswear is getting worse.
The shoes are fugly, especially those boots and platforms with that shade of green. Honestly, none of the shoes in this show are appealing.
The styling also doesn't help, Melanie Ward doesn't care anymore. So many unnecessary details and questionable layering.

It's so sad to see Fendi go from an exciting name helm by one of the most prolific designer in fashion turn to this mess in less than 2 years.

Wow! Like WOW!
When I think of Fendi I think of class, glamour, well made clothes, uniqueness.
But looking at this collection I see trash, trash and trash.
Some pieces might work, but it was bad. Really bad.
