and you are talking about these pleated Spy bags? how much are they (I didn't think they were available). as for blue jean, it's actual denim not blue jean colored leather (too bad).

Thanks meeyowsa :D Ok I forgive the SA even though he gave me the wrong colour for the blue one. But I love the one on the left if it's a congac. Down here it costs AUD$4530.00 fora a medium size and pleated version and you need to pay cash deposits for 50% upfront before they can order one for you:lol:

Which store can I order it from?? How much does it retail for?

Thanks for the info, meeyowsa, your a star!:flower:

I want the pleated python.. why did you say that don't you think they are availeble?

Sorry my spelling mistakes Englist isn't my first languae.:(

I think the one on the left is dark brown -- the one on the right is cognac (cognac is lighter and more reddish, like cognac). so that's like $3,500 for the pleated version -- worth it, IMO. love the pleats (others liken it to "cow guts" but I still like it). as I said earlier (but you should confirm with your SA) is I think you can decide to not buy the bag if you don't like it. you do have to give them your card to place the order (and they place a hold on the amount, but don't actually charge you until you buy the bag), but it's nice they give you an "out" in case you hate it.

I thought I heard the pleated bags were special somehow but I could have been hallucinating (ODing on bags!) I definitely have never seen the pleated python -- do you have pics?

Will they really hold the bag for you though, just to look at it, and then decide?

If you are at a waitnglist I thought they called you up when the bag is in.

And ask you if you would like to pre-order it and if you do then you wont get a cash refund.

Cuz they won't just "hold" the bag for you if somewone else comes in and want it, and you haven't payed.

Am I wrong?

Here in Australia no waiting lists for the pleated one but they are willing to do a special order for me but I have to pay cash half of the price no credit card accepted then they will order for me. If the bag has arrived and I dont't like it ...too bad no refund:huh:

I HATE the no refund policy specially when were talking over SO much money!

Dark chocolate brown and black are the best colors for this bag. The color Gwen Stefani has is a bit less appealing to me.

The bag is to DIE FOR!

ummh agree. Pucci, Have you try to ring other Fendi boutiques out of London they might be getting the phyton that you're after. I  the pleated congac the most.

I  the pleated conac as well! It's a beuty an still stands out. I love bags wih a bit of x-factor and that bag sertainly do!

I am starting to think that the gold python isn't worth the money after all were talking £3000 yikes! And then no refund?? And then Fall comes and they will get even more stunning bags in:blink:

hmm... have to think hard over that one.

I called the store today the price for the medium is is £1120 :flower:

Thank you Pucci! ;) Is that for the regular leather version or the python version? (as if python would be that cheap!)

No problem, Vintage_p:flower:

I am afraid that is for the leather version, in medium.

The python is over £3000

^^ I thought so  I just have to forget about the python spy bags because even I cant justify spending that much on a bag :(

That is a very mature attitude you have there vintage:flower:

I know it's a redicolous amount. And what happens when you get sick of it?:o

There is always other bags that come each season is new "it" bags.

Although, I do  ADORE:heart: the gold one, I guess it's a crush that I can't act on.

Comon, I have to be mature.

I wanted the python bag so badly, but I suppose there are other bags out there so..its not all bad. ;) Im just a little disappointed that Fendi probably wont continue doing these really lovely colors like the gold.

I talked to Michael, the manager of the Beverly Hills store, about 2 months ago about this bag and he told me they only take special orders for the bags and you do have to pay up front (maybe only 50% -- we didn't get into that much detail). but he specifically told me that if when my bag came in and I didn't like it/want it whatever, I didn't have to buy it. we discussed this at length because we don't have a Fendi store in San Francisco and they couldn't do a "sale conditioned upon inspection" if they shipped it to me. so it's not like they have a waitlist in the traditional sense of the word. you order it and in 6-8 weeks, it's yours. now, I do imagine that if someone special orders a Spy and decides not to buy it, then it's up for grabs. perhaps they have a waitlist for those bags? don't know. he told me that this is the policy in the US -- maybe it's different in other countries.

he also told me that the leather is different on the bags ordered through the boutiques and the ones sold in department stores like Neimans. the ones on the special ordered bags are vintage leather (he likened it to an old beautiful leather chair), while the ones being sold through Neimans are just regular leather. I really had no idea what he was talking about and perhaps he was walking out his *** -- the leather on the ones in my catalog look the same as the ones on eluxury and neimans. but the boutiques do offer more colors, like the cream with black trim and the brown one with sequins, both of which I love.

I ordered my python Spy bag a few weeks ago and in fact, I am expecting it any day now (I also live in the city). In New York, the list is mile long.

I didn't have to give a down payment when ordering the python but maybe that is because I was literally seconds away from paying for the original brown lambskin bag when another SA took out a python (pre-ordered) to give to a customer and I fell in love with the python at first sight.

I am not a regular or VIP customer at Fendi NYC but I guess they didn't ask for a downpayment because I was almost going to buy the original brown anyway so I guess they thought I was a serious buyer and wasn't someone just interested in getting my name on that long list. The Europe store called and billed me after they confirmed that the bag was available and could be shipped within the next few weeks.

However, it is true that they are asking for downpayments because not all boutiques are getting the exact bags that the customers want. So I guess the boutique wants to be on the safe side so they don't ship bags that people aren't serious about actually buying.

And only a few boutiques are bringing in the pleated versions.

For those interested in getting the white versions with the red or green or blue tags, please be warned that it is the type of leather that gets dirty and marked easily. The bags that were on display had dirty bottoms (and never been used!!) so I think this is not a very user friendly bag that you can keep immaculate looking for very long. Even the SA said so.

PucciMama - I love both the brown and green lambskin versions and like I said, I was almost going to buy the brown but I saw someone walking in the city with the green version and it is very very beautiful!!! I think I would have regretted buying the brown version if I had seen the green later on!! I'd say definitely go for the green.
