I think the violet tulle being referred to is in the fall '05 Fendi pictures on style.com, not the spring. It was featured in the fall accessories report. The picture here is from spring '06, the silver fabric spy.

That's a new blue spy on ebay!! CHECK IT OUT!!! but i still prefer the old blue (teal) color.

I received email from Fendi sydney, they currently have this bag in stock~ but they are not my cup of tea.

I am thinking should i place the deposit for a brown spy or.. just get a beige/ blue/ or even brown on ebay..

Really can't wait another month!

I saw that bag too, its beautiful... I'm really loving the quilted bags this season from Louis and not suprisingly Marc Jacobs who designed both sets... I tracked down a shot of that new green quilted one on www.bagbrat.com. I wish i had more money for more bags :-(

item 6811337888 looks different, but the leather looks oddly smooth (I will reserve judgment that it's fake but that seems to be a consistent test).

That blue spy IS FAKE. (and seemingly proud of it -"only authentic one on ebay" my a--.) The leather is totally, completely wrong.

Yeah I just checked it out and it is fake. I was surprised how well they got everything else except for the leather though, the stiches on the back of the clasp, the woven seems, the two tone hardware.

^^I'm liking the bronze/green goat leather spy. Thanks for the pics and prices, cherie...considerably cheaper than where I'm at. Hmmmm...maybe I should get my Spy from Sydney, when I decide to ge one.

The local boutique here had about 3 goat leather Spies. They sold out before the Cognac ones. The SAs were saying that the goat leather was more unique but may be too conspicuous for a daily bag... I am liking it anyway

I agree that this bag looks fake which makes me really sad. I had been watching this seller (katsluxury) because she had a Chloe paddington in craie that looked 100% authentic. Once I've discovered that a seller has sold a fake (esp. one she claims that she bought at the official boutique herself, no less), then I won't buy any bags from them. And she's trying to get anyway with charging slightly below retail, and then asking for shady payment options?

baghag - Chistine at Fendi (DFS) Sydney is very nice & helpful if you are interested of getting one with the Tax free is probably better price than where you are.

cherie - the goat leather does not have the same turtley texture like the original leather spy.

klow_chloe...thanks for the recommendation. Yes, I think it'll be cheaper in Sydney. Am considering....but I really should not....sigh...may wait for the new season...Of course if I'm in Sydney and there's one available then...it'll be a different story ...

Oh btw, there'll be a green leather Spy this season too. Saw it in the Fendi look book. Its dark green. Almost like olive green. Very different from the popular one which Nicole Richie has.
