Fendi Spy Bag

I think you're right :)
I wonder what the retail on that bag Ardiennet posted is, though. I bet it's crazy, but it makes me drool on my keyboard

I just got back from Neimans and at the Willowbend Mall....there is a honey spy!

I really cannot understand why there are embroidered squirrels on the bag. I think its weird.

Also, on leatherstuff.com, there is only one AG spray (5.5 for $7). Does this function as both conditioner and rain guard? Or do I need to buy a conditioner spray and a separate rain repellant spray? Thanks!

real?

I know I have 3 spies but I want to be sure these are real before I buy.

Real or fake on ebay?

i'm about to order a bag in brown/zucca... anyone knows if the brown is more like cognac or tabacco??

a SA at Fendi boutique once told me that they are using old logos/motifs that were used in old Fendi designs.. that includes squirrels, horses..

I have to agree! Maybe I'm boring, but I think it would be weird to have a bag w/ a squirrel on it also! Maybe if I were lucky enough to have so many "plain" bags, I would need something different like the squirrel!^_^

The spray is the rain guard, the conditioner is seperate, it's a liquid/creme in a plastic bottle instead of a spray :)

Fendi started out as a furrier and is celebrating its 80th birthday. To mark the occasion, the label dusted off a classic squirrel logo for its latest line of must-have handbags..I think I read somewhere else that Lagerfeld suggested that the squirrel represents longevity and resourcefulness and that's part of why he put them on the spy.

thanks so much for posting that! i love that darling story...it makes much more sense than i could have imagined. here i was thinking they were just showing off their whimsical design through masterful execution. thanks again!

p.s.: also i have much more respect for squirrels now too. ^_^

Also read somewhere that the founder of Fendi used squirrels in his designs because his wife like squirrels.

The embroidered Wisteria Spy that Ardiennet posted (1st one in Vlad's post, Thanks for the update, Vlad!!) would be about USD10,000. Saw the price in the lookbook at the local Fendi store (Kuala Lumpur). It definitely looks heaps better on the catwalk.

The cost of the alligator Spy, based on the prices here, would be between USD40,000-50,000. That also buys a medium cost apartment / house here!!
