I just got off the phone with Neiman and I am the first on the list for a gold python spy bag!!! I decided to cancel the camel bag I ordered because there wasn't any guarantee I'd get that one, so if I have to wait, I'd rather wait for the gold python bag!!! She said the only way I wouldn't get the bag is if Fendi cancels their order, which they don't usually do....doing the happy dance!!

Just got off the phone with the fendi boutique in nyc and i'm definitely getting the brown python now... thanks to all of you out there, ykidkwis, misako who helped me with my decision... settled on the brown (vs gold) because gold seems more seasonal...the brown is like 1.4k more expensive than the gold but it just seems like it's a lil more timeless

I ordered a medium spy in brown, so I went for the gold python. My wedding ring is platinum but I also own a lot of gold/diamond stuff, too AND my Mahnolo's have gold with python soooo I HAD to go for the gold!!

WAIT -- they will ship a python bag to california?? I thought that was illegal. bergdorf's refused to send me a python silverado, but I was able to find a loophole by ordering it on-line. how did you do it??!

^ shhh... you get a good SA. it's really not that difficult. i'm getting some python sandals from gucci and they're just having them rung up in aspen. and before iwas gonna get a python bag from them and they were gonna do the same thing.. ship it to cali and ring it up in another state.
i never tried doing it online actually cause the sites always say "unavailable in california" so i've actually had more luckwith the stores. neimans in tx and saks in nyc have both sent me python things too... bergdorfs and chloe nyc have also been willing to send me python bags as well.
what do you need? maybe i can give you a good contact...

really? wow! you are sneaky! my on-line luck may have been a fluke. I stumbled across the brown python silverado on the NM site, disregarded the "not available in CA" warning and bought it. I sweated it out for a week, waiting for the department of fish & game to come a knockin, but it arrived without a hitch. well, if a rich relative leaves me $7000 I'll let you know! I also like the brown Spy with colored beaded detail which I believe is snake that I saw in my fendi catalog.

Oo i saw that spy bag you're talking about in my catalog too.. as well as in i believe that issue of ELLE with uma thurman on the cover. it's very cool...it's $5350... almost as much as the all python gold one!

do you know if the snake is python? and did you see the cream and black one in your catalog? what do you think? it's the one the SA in beverly hills marked as his favorite.

hmm lemme see... you know what? i think the one you're looking at is actually just sequins, not snakey...but i think the gold and brown snake ones are def python as thats what all the SAs have referred to it as...and yes i saw the black and cream one. you know, i quite like it... it really has a SPY kinda look to me... the two tones are starting to grow on me as the brown leather was just too plain for me. i think if you're gonna get one, get an exotic or two tone...
for males i think the all black one would be very hot though

Yahoo, I got confirmation that I am getting the Spy in python in two weeks. A friend put me in touch with her Fendi contact in a Europe boutique. Interestingly because I am having it shipped to Canada (where my best friend lives), they will deduct the VAT amount (appr 8-11%). I don't know why but the SA said they cannot apply the same less-VAT policy with US shipments. The boutique I called also has the Spy in mixed leather: suede and lambskin, which my best friend ordered the other day. It sounds fabulous!

Anyway the SA said for Fall/Winter, there will be limited edition Spy bags in Fur

The bag that I am referring to looks like the one attached to this post, except that it is in chocolate brown. Meowmix, I think the boutique people are probably referring to this type of bag.

Does anyone have any idea what it retails for, and what is the name of this bag?
