Fendi Spy Bag

I saw a camel coloured Fendi spy the other day, this girl was carrying, I saw it and was stunned!

I mean you hear all this hype about 'IT-bags' and when you actualy see some one carrying it's like WOW.

i've seen the half logoed out spy back and the cognac one back home... and someone carrying the cognac one in paris. so far have yet to see anyone wear them well though

for all the hype, waitlisting and soldout status... you really wonder where they're all going :lol:

Welcome back Meow! How was your trip?

I've seen quite a number of spys around Europe. I was at a small diner here in Monte Carlo and the lady right beside me had the exact same brown python spy and in the same evening at another restaurant, this young teen had the exact same green spy. I guess depends which city you live in! ^_^

I saw several around Rome too, a few weeks back back (including the smaller new spy's which I don't like very much.)

I've also seen a number of fakes and I have to say, the spy is one of the most difficult bags to copy. Virtually impossible I think.
Even the best fakes just DO NOT look like the real thing. I noticed that the fakes have a different leather which doesn't make the spy look airy and puffy. The way it folds or molds into the wearer's body is just different, which immediately tells me the bag isn't real.

I haven't seen anyone carry a spy where I live, I never really designer bags here though, LOTS of coach bags, some LV (fake and real), sometimes a small prada nylon pag or a fendi zucca pouchette or something like that. No one even knows what a balencaiga is. I like it though, since I'm pretty much the only one witht he few bags that I do have.

BTW: Style drops has a black spy and a sachlet spy. I believe they do sell authentic bags.

I am the only person in town that I know of who's carrying any "it" bag...it's boring :huh:

spy question

What do you all think about the spy that is made out of the logo fabric with the leather? I didn't quite understand the SA but she said the handles, etc were "tortoise" printed. What does that means? The handles are not braided?? She also quoted me around $1700 for it. I just don't like logo bags.....

agree...the leather Spys looks so much better. I also like the leather braided handles over the tortoise shell ones.

Questions to those who are updated on the waiting list and status of the spy bag,
My friend wants to get a blue one, but is worried that its sold out and its tough to get on a waiting list, I know the blue is very popular but from what I know its a bit diffcuilt to get it at this stage, at least thats what the UK fendi SA said to us when we called to ask about whether or not she can be on the list. And in the US, New York completely sold out and will not be receiving any. Any chance? Any Where?
And in terms of the Zucca print bag, there are two types one is completely fabric and the other is half leather and half fabric..Does anyone know the prices of these bags?

thanks for the welcome taitai! ot... my trip could have been better, it was quite an ordeal getting settled and connected, but it's good to feel situated. it's so grey here... the weather... the style (everyone in grey, black, brown, and army green all at once!) i'm not used to it! hope things are better down in monte carlo...
speaking of spys, saw a lady at the bank with a caramel leather spy... and a small (zip top) cognac spy around Sevres-Babylone... i want to see them do something new and fresh with the spy though. i like the shape and style, but they just need to kick it up a notch for me... and the crazy quilting this season just isn't tantalizing enough. maybe next season?

^^ please don't get the all zucca print. it frightens me :cry:

i do believe that the half zucca half leather is probably at least about $100+ cheaper than the regular spys.. and the all zucca even cheaper than that...

Saks has the blue spy bag on-line today, but indicates that delivery may be delayed.

Lets see, a spy bag going for $380 on ebay and retail price is currently $2080, not to mention its unbelievably ugly. What do you think?
