Hello! I recently found this site and so far, I love it!! Congrats to everyone who's getting a spy bag... I got mine (a black one) last week and I absolutely it!!

I just ordered a cognac spy bag from styledrop.com (they're authentic!), but the guy there thinks it has gold hardware (he's checking with Fendi tomorrow). I prefer silver. I also heard they have both gold and silver together on one bag. Anyone have the cognac yet? What's the hardware? What do you know about the options?

Hi the day I got mine the hardware was silver after about 2 dayes it looked a little more golden, strange but true, anyone else see this?

the hardware on my green spy is both: the ends of the braided secret compartment that say "fendi" are a very light gold -- the frame of the little purse, the loops on the ends of the braided thing and the glass covered lid to braided thing are all silver. hard to describe if you don't have the bag. but it's so subtle -- you wouldn't even notice the gold unless you looked really close (or were me -- I notice everything!)

as for styledrops, assuming they're real then this whole rumor about only 13 green ones, only 92 brown ones, sounds like bs! everybody has this bag!

actually the rumor was 16 green bags, but you are correct in calling BS. How is it that we all are able to find the bag! But, IF you call Fendi they will swear that those are true stats!

Those numbers may just be based upon the original projections/buys... a lot of the times the figures in the buy books don't correspond with what hits the shelves. Sometimes some things don't end up being produced, sometimes they end up making/ordering more because of the response from trunk shows... etc etc. I relaly don't think there are only 13 green ones worldwide... Perhaps maybe destined for the boutiques in the US yes, but seeing as how eluxury carries them and will be restocking...
But convincing customers that it's so rare a bag only increases its desirability... the SAs may or may not be aware of it.. some of htem are completely clueless as to what goes on within let alone outside their own boutique while others may see it as an advantage to make a sale

because they've inflated the price -- it's a ruse. the retail price of my full price spy was less than their "discounted" price. by my extremely poor math they are pricing the bag at $2400. I hate that. if you want to sell it at a markup, sell it at a markup but don't lie!

same here -- no matter how much I wanted a bag. I actually got into it with raffaello, which does the same thing. they gave me some lame excuse that they just use "listed" prices and they have nothing to do with it -- so innocent! when I confronted them with the fact that the price in Tokyo (which is likely to have higher prices in general) for the bag I wanted was significantly less than their price, they didn't respond. so there!

as a side note, the styledrops site looks suspiciously similar to raffaellos' -- wouldn't surprise me if they're one and the same (though I'm sure they'd never cop to it).

Well, it may be true that they inflate the "retail", but the bags are authentic. Meeyowsa, how much did you pay retail and where? I figure this way, I'll have it on Monday, and there's no tax. With retail at Fendi (which has a waiting list), I have to wait several weeks and pay tax. But thanks for for popping my bubble.

boymom- don't get too uptight they all give their views and opinions. Doesn't means they not approve of your purchasing as long as you're happy with your dicision I think everyone would be happy for you .
