This fendi spy looks real to me...anyone? ( i post it here as well because of all the fendi experts here :-)

That's the same fake one that keeps popping up in authenticity questions recently. Definitely a fake. The seller no longer shows pics of the hologram serial tag, but the serial number format gives it away (no letters, too few numbers, wrong font) and the authenticity cards also have the wrong font so those pics aren't shown anymore. Another good indicator is the grain of the leather is completely wrong: authentic spy bags have visible pores.

You can register at shopthestates.com and get an US address in your name to have the bag shipped to. If Saks.com can't verify your credit card since it's a non-US card, Shop the States have a buying service, so you don't have to worry about that It's brilliant!

eisse, the leather on both auctions look IMO-for instance, the green in the first auction i expected to look richer not dark like it is in the photos (maybe it's the lighting?). plus, the price is too low. however i am no expert like Greendrv is-she's wonderful at this . hopefully, she'll have a chance to chime in and better advise you. [ i think you just may have placed an extra '0' in the first auction # by accident ]

eisse, sorry, both of those are fake. Maximus is right: the leather texture isn't right on the green spy, and the chocolate spy has so many things wrong with it: the zucca lining is fake, the font on the leather serial tab is wrong, the contrast between the gold and silver hardware shouldn't be so obvious, the leather isn't really the right color to be a chocolate spy (not dark enough) but the handles are definitely too dark for the bag to be a cognac spy.

Thanks a bunch. You gals and this thread is wonderful. i'm giving up on ebay and just going to saks. I'll sleep better knowing that it's the real thing. My hubby says why go through all that...just get it at the store and that's after telling him how much it would cost. I knew he was a keeper!

Guys, i just got my spy bag today, and i'm sitting with it like an ideot trying to figure out how to open the secret handle compartment. Please help! This thing is driving me nuts

I have had my spy for a few months and finally I started using it today.

After using for half a day, I noticed that the leather of the braided handles are already peeling off! Really, is that normal??!! I would expect that a bag of this pricing would be more hardy than that!! TIA

Mbart - use your fingernail to pop it open. It shouldn't be that hard unless its stuck. Look for the groove just under where Fendi is stamped.
