I can't believe this guy has his own post. I thought I had to come here and post my experience.
I am spanish, and I used to live in Madrid until last year. I met him when he was not so famous yet, and he tried to flirt with me at a famous club where most football players go.
He is really well educated, nice and sweet, but he was far too young for me so I didn't really pay a lot of attention to him. And I also didn't know who he was (as I said, it was the beginning of his career).
He's much more cute in real life, to be honest

Torres started in ‘Liga’ with a goal and a victory agaist Racing​

The captain scored the only goal of the match (0-1) and gave the three point to the Atletico at the beginning of the season 06/07

The National Championship League 06/07 began face to Fernando Torres and Atletico. The forward scored his first goal of the season at 11’ against Racing-Atletico of Madrid, and the team add the three points at its debut at the Sardineri (0-1). The red and white victory breaks the statistic because, since 1989, Atletico didn’t start the season with a triumph farther of Manzanares.

Fernando demonstrated in his start be in a good physical fitness. Also to score a goal, he was very participative and was doing a hard-work, both in the attack and in the defense, and he made dangerous diagonals and attacks in the area in both sides, specially at the right. The numerical inferiority after the Greek Seitaridis’ sending off, made Torres be more involved at the defense.

The first opportunity of Javier Aguirre’s players was of Jurado, five minutes after the match started, when he made a foult kick. Inmediatly was Petrov’s turn that, getting the most of an intelligent pass from Torres, stood up alone before Toño, and if it were not for the goalkeeper’s intervention he would have scored the first one of the night. Even so, it didn’t take too long to score. At 11’ when Torres, after a combination with Mista, scored the first and last goal of the match with a double shoot. The goalkeeper from Cantabria blocked the shot as a first resort, but the ‘9’ was keeping an eye and sent the reject at the bottom of the net. Shortly after the captain was very close to score the second one, when he sent a poison goal that Toño blocked.

Racing took long to get close with danger to the red and white area, and when they did it was for a triple play: Oriol tried a header at 22’, Munitis shortly after and finally Juanjo at the 26’ sent the ball to the cross bar. The pace of the play went down and both teams didn’t found the appropiated communication to get to the rival’s area. Only a distant shot from Colsa, now playing for Racing, sketch danger. The bad news to Atletico came on the edge of the break, when Seitaridis saw the red shirt as a consequence to a hard entered about Melo.

The renew brought news to the red and white team, consequence of the numerical inferiority. Aguirre entered Valera to replace the leave of the Greek’s player, and also Gabi entered at the field substituting Jurado. While Atletico fixed its team, the local team could tie by a header fron the small area, if it were not for Leo Franco’s intervention, that safe the point at several times.

Fifteen minutes to the end of the match Torres tried the second one with a shot from right side of the area, after recieve a good pass from Aguero, but Toño covered very good his goal and prevented the goal. At the final straight of the match Racing put more effort into it and the red and white suffered to keep their goal at zero. One more time Leo Franco standed out, that safe the victory in a doble intervention when the match was getting to its end. First match, first victory for Atletico that gets off to a good start its way at the present edition of the League.

Fernando Torres starts the career towards to the European ‘08​

The internacional forward joins to Luis Aragones’ concentration at Ciudad del Futbol of Las Rozas

After played the first match of Atletico of Madrid’s League at El Sardinero, Torres already thinks in the Spanish Nacional Team and he starts tonight the concentration of the national combined at Ciudad del Fútbol of las Rozas. The forward from Madrid will start to train under Luis Aragones command, the next officials matches against Liechtenstein and North Ireland.

Both internacional matches, included at the classification phase to the Eurocup of Austria and Switzerland ’08, will play the next September 6th and 8th at Badajoz and at Belfast, respectively. At the summonded list there are not novelties about the least friendly date at Iceland and only the entered of Oubiña instead Senna, respect to the players that participated the last Germany’s World Cup (without counting the last goalkeeper, Cañizares)

Fernando Torres scored the first goal against Liechtenstein​

The spanish National Team resolved with authority (4-0) the first match of the classification match for the Eurocup ‘08

The Spanish National Team started the path to the Eurocup ’08 with a wide victory against Liechtenstein (4-0) at the stadium ‘El vivero’ from Badajoz. Fernando Torres scored at the 19’ the first goal of the night and he smooth the way to a feast of goals who completed Villa with a double and Luis Garcia.

Luis Aragones’ players imposed theirselves from the first minutes. The movility of Torres and Villa made the first opportunities of the match. The Asturian player warned at the 5’ with a shot from the small area. Torres proved shortly afterwards with a left footed shot but the goalkeeper blocked. Hardly five minutes later Torres scored the first one: Raul answered with a Villas’ overrun with a pass at the back of the defense, and Villa, after reach the back line, he centred to the small area where Torrres beat to Jhle with a accurate shot.

Once open the scoreboard, Spain went to look for increase the differences before a rival that didn’t show any danger. The control of the play during the first half was of the spaniards, although the second goal was playing hard to get to the last minutes of the firts half, when Villa culminated a personal play with a tremendous right footed which slip in for the right goalmouth of the rival goal.

The second half was the same: The Spanish Selection had the control of the match and two goals were add to the scoreboard of the Spanish combined. The third one could get at 58’, from a header of Fernando Torres that Jhle stopped when the football supporters were calling goal. There was to wait at 61’ to see how Villa before being substituted by Luis Garcia, was increasing differences with a foul kick. Hardly five minutes after the player of Liverpool scored the fourth one with a shot from Pernia’s pass.

The rest of the match was a monologue of Spain looking for the goal number 1000 to the Spanish national Team, a goal which Torres’ could have signed. Two minutes to the end, Fernando Torres shot from the front and the ball left very near of the right cross-stitch. Finally the match ended with a wide victory for the spaniards, although was higher the superiority the spaniards have demonstrated at the field.
