Flamboyant shoes

I want to like Pilati but he makes it so hard....
his spring collection for ysl was amazing... the one for fall was far from stellar, but there was a look or two, and several pieces, that were great

quite a disappointment though :(

Yeah, I will admit that his spring collection grew on me, specifically those flouncy, colored silk faille dresses and the suede loafer pumps....but the fall one was so stiff and conservative, and the accessories, well let's just say

but, back to the topic at hand, how's this for flamboyant.....

Velvet straps, earmine trim and a stacked platform heel.....for me, fur rarely ever works on footwear, but this is just beautifully done and very subtle.

There was another version of those YSL platforms that had a t-strap and it was like a beigey taupe color, the t part had these little flattened metal paillettes dangling on it and the heel and platform had different sized metal plates hammered onto them....they sound really tacky from this discription but they were really beautiful, I wish I could find a picture.

^i know exactly the ones you are talking about, very nice:heart:

was never to keen on the black spiked ones though:blink:

Great thread. I love crazy platform shoes. The carved Mcqueen ones are my favorite.

A Chopine. Ia ctually think it is quite pretty, it just needs to be a bit restyled to be wearable, ie a few inches higher in the back than in the front and of course an ankle strap.

How did i manage to miss this thread?!

These are by Davis. The wedge is made from titanium and contains a microchipped logo...taking it too far much? But i'm in serious like...
