Flip Flops

Yeah they really aren't comfortable! They hurt and they aren't good for your feet! I wear them though but I'm going to cut back on them and try and buy nicer sandals like I said! But yeah something about summer and flip-flops go together oh this past christmas I wore flip-flops because it wasn't cold here in Texas

I don't see the appeal. I just don't.

I don't get it. I've always thought they're terribly uncomfortable. No support whatsoever; they just feel awful to me. Plus, I think they look bad.

same here...i just cant stand anything between my toes  the feeling makes me squimish.... then they slide everwhere...... then that noise.

in my house i either go barefoot :P or i wear ballet slippers.

I love them in the summer because they're easy and effortless. I wore them with a pair of jeans and a tee all summer......not necessarily the most chic thing, but it suited me just fine.

I used to think they were awful, but now I'm looking to buy a pair of plain black rubber ones.

I think all I wore this summer was my black old navy flippies.

Honestly, it's just easy.. and my body is weird.. I can be wearing a huge sweatsuit but as long as my feet can breathe, I stay cool.. so it works when I wear dark jeans in the summer with my flip flops...

I hate socks and sneakers in the summer... I have other shoes too.. like my moccasin slides or some slingbacks.. but my flipflops are most comfortable.. and I dont care about them getting ruined.. they were 3 bucks.

I've never owned a more comfortable shoes than my rainbows. I wear them everywhere here. Its so funny to see what everyone wears in different parts of the world.

I don't think I'd ever wear them in NYC, except maybe in summer, but here and in Florida, they are all I'd ever wear. Its like sneakers, loafers, heels, sandals, anything with a heel... are all overdressing.

^Rainbows are the best. I'm just so used to wearing flip flops and everyone around me wearing them that its hard for me to believe its not natural in all parts of the US. Oh well. Beach town forever..

i have black old navy flip flops, i wear them when i feel extremely lazy. Although i could try to wear nicer shoes, i think feet need to breathe from time to time. But one thing i hate about flip flops are how my feet are black when i come home...

I can't live without my thongs... I don't wear them unappropriately... Summer, beach, up the shops sorta thing... They are comfortable and don't look horrid so they are a vital piece to my wardrobe

i LOVE my flipflops... i live in them in the summer. i wear them with little skirts and polo shirts, even with jeans, although my favorite way is to wear them with surf baggies (A&F mens) that i've sewn sequins to (a la Anna Sui s/s 04).

as long as you've got the legs for them and short dresses/skirts i think they're ok.

i totally agree. I think some flip flops look absolutely great, i have some Aldo white ones that are too cute and they go with almost everything

flips flops are just a way of life during the summer
ive never considered them a trend or something to get sick of
i have about 10 pairs

Right on! ;)

i practically live in flip flops. here in florida, it's too hot for anything else most of the year. if i'm going to class or just wearing some jeans or something casual and not trying to impress anyone then i'm definitely rockin my rainbows! may not be exactly chic, but like i said, i'm not trying to impress anybody :P

I think they are kind of silly as a fashion trend, but very appropriate for casual wear in high summer. There is no better shoe for at the pool or the lake.

I don't find them comfortable if I am doing a lot of walking, and I am very self conscious about my ugly feet, so I don't wear them in public unless I am at the lake or someplace kind of grubby and very casual anyhow.

Love flippies... but I have to give a big THUMBS DOWN to flip flops with platforms!! NOOOO!!

I also dont understand the kitten heeled ones...

I've been wearing 'thongs' (as we call them here) for years and years and years. They're such a must-have living in Australia and heading to the beach almost daily during the summer months. I don't see what the big craze was about though, they're not that special
