The Havaianas Thread

I wear flip flops nearly every day, so i would love a pair...especially the metallic ones

Yes Havaianas are pretty big in Australia, u can pick them up at almost every surf store or General Pants Co. IMO they are really comfy and I have sooooooooooo many colors in them. I bought some regular flip flops from Old Navy now that I moved to the States and they are much harder than Havis and also more slippery!!!

Yup once you start you'll never go back. It's pretty pricey for slippers but it's really worth it.

I got a pair of white ones recently...and they're starting to get dirty...
Is it possible to wash them or will it damage them?

You can wash them. :) Are they printed? Some of the printed ones get erased though :( I read somewhere that to clean white havaianas all you have to do is soak it in salt water and it will return to its pristine condition. Havent tried yet though. I wash mine with detergent. :)

they're not printed...they might look like they have grey prints soon though, if i don't wash them

thank you so much for the help! :flower:

hey guys, do the rubber straps cut your feet? i have 2 pairs and the straps always rub into the skin until they turn red and even raw (when my skin tears) :|

That has never hapened to me, but maybe you are wearing a size too short, or maybe it depends on the shape of your feet...
honestly i don´t know.

I have a lot of pairs and I that hasnt happened to me either. Maybe you should get the next size. :)

Wivinia - I have the same problem!
Have tried two different sizes but just don't think havaianas are for me, maybe its because I have weird shaped feet or something but they left me in severe pain for a week after wearing them as they rubbed on top of the foot and on the bottom where the strap joins the sole.

pinklady123> yes! those are where i feel the pain!

Antigone & sofialuv> i really dont think its the size, cas the length is just right. the straps on my first pair touch my feet exactly, so i thought thats the problem. but the straps on my second pair were loose! but theres still so much friction. i always have to resort to plasters after some time.

I love my havaianas. I wear them all the time, and they've never been a problem for me getting sore feet :)

i love the cute designs! if it's dirt cheap, i would buy all designs...unfortunately...it's not :(

I love Havainas, can't go without at least 5 pairs every summer. lols.

guys! every pair of flipflops hurt my feet (and probably a lot of people's) until i've worn them for a couple days. you have to work them in for them to work. or you have to thickin up your skin!

mine are fine, maybe because i've been wearing very similar ones all summer
in any case, i feel they are more padded and squishier so its better to walk on them

Someone help me!

Does anyone know where I can buy Havaianas in Spain? Maybe they have them in El Corte Ingles, anywhere else? I really want some! Thanks :flower:

Havaianas Flash Way, $16 at urbn.com
I have those in white and the look really cool one on your feet. I bought them in the Rio de Janeiro airport on a stopover from Chile to Sweden.

When I was in Chile in February I also got the impression that Havaianas are poormans wear. In fancier Malls they liftet some eyebrows but in Malls located in citys by the sea it was more spread among the recidents.
