Florence + The Machine

i'm gonna try to attend either one of her london shows or try to catch her when she's in paris in march!

saw her on SNL last night and she was lovely....her voice was uncharacteristically off on 'shake it out' which she performed first but she killed it with 'no light no light'. i would assume the wonky start may have been due to that long flight from australia and maybe a little bit of the acoustics on the SNL stage.

She looks amazing! As much as I'm happy that she's almost everywhere, I'm concerned about her becoming overtired

Florence Welch goes for autumnal vintage chic as she heads to Radio 1 studios for special recording

She was only going to be heard on radio but that didn't stop Florence Welch from ensuring she still looked every inch the stylish star.

The Florence + the Machine frontwoman turned up to the Radio 1 studios to perform on Fearne Cotton's Live Lounge on Friday to give a rendition of Rihanna and Drake's track Take Care.

She's known for her quirky dress sense and the 25-year-old opted for yet another ensemble stamped with her own style at the taping, turning up in head-to-toe vintage.

The You've Got the Love hitmaker later revealed the dress in all its glory when she performed for Fearne's music programme and took off her coat.
Florence took to the mic to first answer questions put to her by the 30-year-old blonde presenter.

She then stunned listeners as she chose to sing a cover of the Drake and Rihanna R&B song - a departure from her normal rockier sound.
And the star was ecstatic she could sing the track, which was produced by Jamie xx.

Before launching into her version she said: 'This is pretty exciting because this is a song by one of my, well two of my, well three of my absolute favourite artists.'

The performance was a hit with Fearne, who Tweeted afterwards: 'Florence and the Machine in the live lounge for our special was indeed...SPECIAL! A magical musical moment!'

Florence launched her band's new album Ceremonials last month.

She recently told The Guardian she wanted to produce a more adult record, saying: 'I think it's funny because you can only learn from your mistakes on the first one.

'I guess the only goals I had in mind was trying to make it a whole sound, so I think the pressure I put myself under was trying to make a body of work that had a cohesive sound all the way through it, because the first one was quite fractured. For better or worse, it was more of a scrap book.

'With this one I kind of wanted to make a story, done with one producer in one place. It was kind of about one time in my life and in that sense I think we achieved that.

'But that was the only real goal I set myself. And pressure-wise, I don't think anything could have been worse than the first album. With that baptism of fire this one was a breeze.'

(Shake It Out just came on the tv while posting this. Freaky).

Seriously amazing candid outfit:flower:, she has such a unique style love the blue hat and boots. Shes such a refreshing style for a pop star, that Murad dress was just so perfectly ethereal on her:heart:

^ That site is interesting, I've read some articles there before. Obviously it's one man's interpretation so it's not fact, but most of his stuff is quite well supported. But one line he seems to avoid is when she sings "And it's hard to dance with a Devil on your back so shake him off", which kinda contradicts his interpretation.
