Maybelline is casting some fresh faces for its ad campaigns. We hear the cosmetics brand has signed Danish model Freja Beha who has appeared in ad campaigns for Gucci by Gucci fragrance, Chanel and Isabel Marant. Beha, who has walked in major runway shows from Alexander Wang to Valentino, will appear in Maybelline’s campaign for New York Fashion Week, kicking off Thursday. And Brazilian model Aline Weber was spotted shooting with Maybelline face Emily DiDonato.

Not the best cosmetics/beauty brand, but it's still great news.

As she seems to be on a self imposed break from high fashion and now with a Maybelline contract under her belt, I would imagine she might do the odd editorial when she feels like it and just enjoy the money she is making from working for a major brand, who she will do a few weeks work for throughout the year.
The Maybelline pics are quite odd, but if anyone thought just because they are using Freja, that the shots might be somewhat groundbreaking or nearer to her usual style, they are barking up the wrong tree. We all knew they would be generic as hell.
