Fusion Fashion Show 2006 is coming !!


Who: 15 designers from F.I.T. and Parsons School of Design compete
What: To bring together the two best fashion schools in the nation, Fashion Institute of Technology and Parsons School of Design, and have them compete in a fashion show that creates inspiration, ingenuity, excitement, and the fashionistas of the future.
When: April 1st (2 shows) and April 2nd (1 show)
Where: Parsons Fashion Building
560 7th Avenue & W40th St. NYC

Fashion Fusion is not an open fashion show. The designers have all applied in a competative process in order to participate, and they must be freshman or sphomores from Parsons or FIT. The show is now sold out, btw

I don't want to say the winners' of the various awards names without permission, but I will say that Parsons won Best School. The vote was 3-2 though, so it was a very close show and everyone really worked hard (so be nice please )

i used to want to go to parsons, but then i realized there was no way.

i go to parsons... its really not as great as its described. i wouldn't suggest going if you want to design anything but classy sportswear, because they are very un-open to any sort of experimentation.

this seems like an interesting event. i would've gone if i lived in ny.

to Konrad: its actually extremely open to any kinds of design. The students were able to do whatever they wanted to with their collections and we're picked upon the diversity of the type of collection. I guess it's not your typical fashion show that happens at Bryant Park because it's a student oriented show. not to mention 1st and 2nd year students where some students are beginners at fashion designing/construction.
