i read a few posts that said how garnier fructis was really bad, and that it damaged your hair. i was just wondering what is in it that messes up your hair, because the ingredients looked close to the same as what was in bed head and other products such as cat walk.............thanks

hey i just used it ...for the first time a few days ago.
the conditioner was really good. i dont know about the shampoo.

before this i used L'oreal for coloured hair... for really long.

I had used the Long & Strong Shampoo and Conditioner. For a few weeks I really liked it, and then my hair started breaking. It may have similar ingredients...but brands such as biologe actually work. I was disapointed to say the least.

I can only say that after using the shampoo one time....I threw it in the trash. I didn't even bother returning it. It was awful on my fine hair.

Good, plus it doesn't contain methyisothiasoline...or something liek that as it's ingredient. That stuff has just recently been banned in some european countries for having REALLY bad effects on pregnant women. It's supposed to increase shelf life for shampoo.

wow!

wow, I didn't know any of this! I used it for quite a long time (the one with protection against humidity, for straight hair), and it was pretty good. I stopped using it because as far as I know they experiment on animals, and I don't like supporting that, but it didn't do anything bad to my hair (as far as I can remember at least  ).

was it really banned in some countries?! yikes

First of all it smells really good. I use the deep conditioner and it makes my hair extremely soft and smooth. I guess I should add that my hair is thick, fairly straight, and my biggest problem with it is that it gets oily.

I used the sleek and smooth shampoo and conditioner and I found it so-so. I was really put off by the smell though, it was too 'peachy/apricoty' for my liking!

OMG I got this a few months ago (don't remember the exact kind) but it was down right AWFUL!!! I used it three times (cause I was thinking shampoo is shampoo, it can't be bad, right?) but I always felt like my hair was dirty after I blow dried it:huh: , like it had a film on it... It's really weird, I can't explain it, other than its crappity crap!
I've Never in my life thrown away a full bottle of shampoo and conditioner!

PS. I'm not a shampoo snob either... I use to use 'White Rain' in college b/c it was 99 cents:innocent:

ditto!! i threw it out after using it maybe twice. hated it! id take anything over fructis.

Nice to know it wasn't just me. Each time I used it I kept thinking 'well maybe i forgot to wash out the conditioner and thats why it feels weird'. It's so bizarr:huh:

last time i used it i thought it made my hair smelll ike cat piss, excuse my language but it did, i love biolage still to this day

I actually like it, for a cheap shampoo. I bought it because I heard it was good for strengthening hair and my waist-length hair was getting a little too thin and had too many split ends. Plus I really liked the smell. It didn't work wonders or anything, but my hair did get a little better, I even thought it was better than the paul mitchell stuff that I was using before.

That's crazy. White Rain did the same thing to my hair as Garnier did to your hair.

Anyway, I think that Garnier is great.

i've used it a few times, but don't like it at all. I think the conditioner is crap! Def leaves a cheap film on my hair. ew!

now i use abba shampoo and bumble & bumble conditioner
