I always thought they looked similar, but in this picture Gemma and Sasha could be twins

even in that pic i could easily tell the difference, i mean when you dress them alike,, have them pose alike and do the make up alike they are bound to look similar but look at thier noses, brow bones and chins...i mean i dont get it, they are sooo different, gemmas so round and sashas so sharp, i cant think of 2 more different models...

^^ Actually, I don't know if it was Sasha's early days or not, there was a time when, before she lost a certain something something, her face was fuller and so, walking down the runway where you don't have time to sit and examine, they shared a resemblance, IMO . Especially if you weren't a model fan and was not familiar with them. Then the fuller look went, Sasha's cheekbones came to the fore and behold! The differences more fully revealed themselves . If you take a look at Chanel Cruise 2009 pics, especially the one where Sasha is wearing that cute little hat and pants outfit, she's looking a bit more like a Slavic Gemma now .

Exactly my point. I don't think people truly believe they are identical, I personally don't see it, but I do see some similarities which may be more obvious to someone who like you said, isn't a model fan and not familiar with them.

It doesn't have anything really to do with being an expert, all you really have to do is look at the actual facts. She didn't walk the Dolce & Gabbana show for the S/S season yet she still snagged the campaign, she didn't walk any shows this past season but she's still getting editorials. It's pretty clear she still has a place in the fashion industry, she has just chosen, she, herself, to try and branch out into acting as well. If she wanted to still be in modeling full time I seriously doubt she'd have any trouble considering how she's scaled back now and still is getting jobs.

The comparisons between her and Sasha--I'll admit that in the beginning I got the two of them confused, but really once you start paying closer attention to each of them, they're so different it's like night and day. The one thing they have in common now, though, is that they both have things they're interested in aside from modeling--Gemma has acting and Sasha has her art, and I think that makes both of them awfully interesting.

^ Nope, and I don't think that really has a thing to do with it considering we just discussed how she's scaled back her career. "Powerhouse" wouldn't imply "person who is focusing on something else currently". Besides--Gisele isn't in it either, and if she isn't a powerhouse I don't know who is.
