I want to say this about her comeback. I think it has been fantastic. She has been gone for so long to have her come out swinging would set her up to have a flash in the pan moment. Some models come back with an explosion and the hype fades. Gemma is slowly fanning the flames and keeping the fire smoldering. She has had a high profile runway turn, a high end commercial campaign in her home country, a Prada campaign for Christ's sake and an two international glossies. One being Australian Vogue and the other being PoP. She is doing it correctly. Grated the styling for Prada is horrendous, it is still Prada. What is interesting to note on is we are viewing her now in the current fashion context; which is light-years removed from the world she inhabited when she was queen. Its unfair to place such high expectations on her. She is a mother, an actress and a model trying to orchestrate a burgeoning comeback among models like Kendall Jenner, Cara Delevingne, Molly Bair, Binx Walton etc etc. Like I said she is doing it correctly and carving out a niche for herself as a model with substance and .an eye for what work she WANTS to do as opposed to what she has to do.
