they make me think of 'alice in wonderland' gone wrong
but i kinda like the dark atmosphere

i love the Italian Vogue. i love that she looks young, and it's quite peverse. it's so dark, and indeed, Alice-in-wonerland-esque. i think htey chose her because she looks so innocent and virginal, as to make a juxtapositional editorial, which works wonders and is beautiful.

and that wedding one is alsmot exactly like the kate moss one. but i way prefer Gemma's.

I'm struggling to see the AIW references but I do see plenty of Waterhouse, the Victorian Romanticism painter. There's a hint of something Baroque in it too, though, what with those animal cadavers and all (common feature in art from ca 1450-1650 or somesuch).

I really don't like that Italian vogue ed...It creeeps me out and I hate the food and the dead animal

Those Italian Vogue pictures are amazing. Her eyes almost look completely black. Her face/body looks fuller, she's definately maturing.

Its funny, in the beginning they played up the younger look, now they are using it to make dark shots interesting... but i guess whether or not you like it, everyone is responding to it, and thats the main point of the shoots... it really seems she is going to be the real deal supermodel, hey? Obsession ads, personal write ups, music videos and movie star partner ads... won't take long.

that italia ediorial is AMAZING. the darkness is a theme that i love in photos that no one does enough in mags like vogue. but they do have to cater to their audience which is more to the happy-go-lucky fashion editorials
