Yeah I have now come to a grand final decision of pointing the finger of blame at Lily Donaldson. She's a bad influence on the bon wee lassie I tell ye, arrrg!
Mmm...my .02 on the matter:
Like many ex-smokers, now I just can't stand smoke anymore (even the simple smell of it disgusts me! Hard to believe myself that I used to smoke 2 packs a day when I was 20!
).
Smoke is a bad habit, it's bad for your health and for the health of those around you, it's a bloody waste of time and money that could be used for better things, and I fully agree with those countries that ban it in public places.
...and it's a bit sad to see our Gem smokin'...
BUT...
...now let's not criminalize it, c'mon!
After all there are many worse things than smoke in the fashion biz...
And again, there are many many other unhealthy things, even in everyday life, that are unfortunately considered "normal" by the vast majority: cheeseburgers and french fries ain't at all good for your health, as well as alcohol, regardless of the quantity.
Therefore my opinion is: smoke sucks, but anyway let's not criminalize models who smoke.
As a matter of fact, I think that in many backstages non-smokers will "smoke" anyway by simply breathing...

I was just trying to "quote" a funny line from an old movie (but I'm not sure I managed to do it correctly, as I've seen it dubbed in my language
there was this scene where 4 people were sitting around a table for a meeting. Suddenly, they make a pause, and three of them, one after the other, take out a cig and light it. The 3rd person then offers the pack to the 4th, but he sarcatically refuses saying: "No need for, I'll smoke anyway by simply breathing..."

Wow I didn't know that she smoked...Well...A lot of models do. I still love her though
im very dissapointed. i tend to look down on people who smoke. In 2005 no one should be smoking, it does nothing good.
i really hope its not a regular thing, although even if she does it only socially, its still pathetic and ugly.

why Lily D? as far as I know she doesn't smoke either right?Yeah as someone said, that was obviously not her cigarette and just a puff...I see it as she just took someone's offer of a cigarette, no biggie.
I frown upon smoking as well, but I've been a social smoker since 14, so I'm in no position to judge.
She can smoke 10 packs a day and I would still like her...lol it definitely changes that "innocent aura" she's got and my image of her, but I don't think it affects her modelling or that captivating essence in photos, which, imho are much more important than her personal habits.
