Model fact: ALL models smoke Marlboro Lights!!!! 
That's all you see backstage, even at NY Fashion Week (where it is against the law to smoke indoors in a public place...!) Right next to the cup of champagne...
(Michael Gross calls it the "4 C's" model diet: Cigarettes, Coffee, Champagne and C**aine!)
But they're young and rich and beautiful and healthy...I'd be right there with them!!!

God, thank you! I just don't get it when people start flipping out over models smoking. Like, what a huge deal....98 percent of models smoke or have smoked. Back in the day (and maybe today still, who knows), it was a miracle if a model wasn't on some serious drugs. If they need some nicotine coursing through their veins, I for one don't care. If that's something Gemma needs to do to stay as thin as she needs to be to work, or even if she just likes it, who cares, smoking should be the least of peoples worries.

I hope Gemma isn't like a chain smoker....I'd hate to see her go that route.

Yup, I hope it's just being young; lots of these girls straighten out when they get a little older, it's a very short career in most cases! 24 or 25 is ancient by today's model standards! (BTW, that would make an interesting thread; what do they all do after it's over...? It's kind of like pro sports, short big time career and then...?? I mean, they start so young and often don't have great educations and so on...)
Caroline W. claims she smokes 3 packs a day...yuk... Look at the Kate Moss thread for discussion of her showing the signs of her years of smoking and health abuse; scary...
On a lighter note; I think Gemma's growing!! She is still young enough, I can't believe how much taller she is than the others, who are far from average themselves!!!
I knew a girl back when whose chest also changed completely (for the better!) at her age; but that's another matter...I'm surprised IMG still put 5'10 on Gemma's f/w show card, she looks so tall now! I think that backstage pic's rather deceptive though (you know, poses, shoes, angles...). Unless she had a major growth spurt and is now 6'+

She is a doll! I wonder if the agencies are "slow" to note extra height..I mean, at some point (Hana for instance) the girls get to the upper edges of the standard runway sizes; the designers can only alter an outfit so much before it doesn't fit or look the same... I went with an ex-model who had to buy her work clothes (business wardrobe at that point) right when the new styles hit the stores because 95% of that was out there couldn't be altered to fit her... While this would be considered a good problem by most women (very tall and leggy), she had a fit trying to shop so fast every six months since that was it!
