Gemma Ward

^ Wow  well done, many pats on the back!
What do you do with your old ones, which must be flooding your room by now? (I'm having the same problem, but I don't have to heart to deface them by ripping pages out or chucking them out altogether)

^I deface them:shifty: but about two months after I get them..

and my walls get covered by the pictures

...the ones that are completely defaced..like to the point where i've cut out sentences in articles I like:ninja: I chuck out

..but at the moment I've got too many good ones and they are about mid my leg height in my room(not fitting under the desk:shock: ) and all the rest are under the coffee table..pretending they are mum's magazine:shifty::rofl:

...and this is ALL BECAUSE OF GEMMA!!

 do none of your family ever get pissed off at you for hoarding so many magazines?! My family have ultra-glossy-page-sensitivity and they start coughing up the "tsk tsk, you've wasted far too much money on magazines" lecture once the magazine count gets past 5 in a heap!

Gemma was mentioned in an article I read in The Australian, Financial Review Magazine ‘fashion special’.
The article is about the model boom in Perth, so naturally Gemma is mentioned a few times. It’s all a bit business-y, but still interesting! :flower:

Vivien Fox is the woman many in the industry credit with launching the Perth modelling boom after the 2002 discovery of Gemma Ward, currently – at the ripe old age of 18 – the world’s number-two model according to models.com. The Nasdaq of the modelling industry, models.com rates contenders according to their editorial, advertising and runway bookings (for the record, the Canadian model Daria Werbowy was number one at press time). Industry sources estimate that Ward has earned $US 10 million so far. She’s certainly been all but unavoidable on the runway and in both luxury-brand ad campaigns and fashion magazines. Last year alone she graced the covers of at least 10 different Vogue titles.
Along the way, Ward has become too expensive for most Australian fashion clients. She’s now part of New York-based IMG Models which, industry sources say, receives as mush as 20 per cent of her gross earnings, with another 10 per cent to Ward’s mother agency, Vivien’s in Australia.

Fashion is notoriously fickle: six months can be not only an entire career, but the life cycle of a whole look. Nevertheless, Gemma Ward’s moment shows no signs of nearing its end. No less a figure than Franca Sozzani, editor of Italian Vogue, gives Ward the slightly moth-eaten mantle of “the new Twiggy”, while the senior vice-president of IMG Models, Ivan Bart, went one better, telling Time magazine last year that Ward was “as close to the Grace Kelly ingénue as we have right now”.

 Lol, your mum is too cool for school. Say, you think there's a chance that she's willing to adopt?:innocent:

kiki - please don't direct link from Gemma-Ward.com! ;) It eats up our bandwidth :) Thanks!

p46hope - So far, it sounds like Gemma got Dolce & Gabbana for FW06 again, as well as two other ones that we don't know the brand name of yet :)

She has a rather big forehead. For the most part she reminds me of a Vanessa Paradis wannabe. She is pretty though. :flower:

has she lost alot of weight since you knew her personally? like since she began modeling?
