Chloë, Gemma, Jacquetta et al. raise the roof (top) for Manhattan's hair apparent

(NEW YORK) The theme of hairdresser to the S-crowd—starlets, supermodels, and socialites—Ashley Javier’s summer dance was “From Dusk Till Dawn” and guests adhered to the invite, staying until the Manhattan birds chirped as the sun rose.
Held at Javier’s art-filled Fifth Avenue penthouse, which doubles as his full-service salon, the chic set danced, drank, and gossiped. The bar, lit up with dozens of tiny lights, was supermodel gridlock. Gemma Ward, Amy Wesson, and Jacquetta Wheeler (with Alex Lubomirski) jostled for room with Chloë Sevigny, Andres Santo Domingo and Lauren Davis, Zani Gugelmann, Maggie Katz, Fabian and Martina Basabe, Behnaz Sarafpour—fresh from a week with her boyfriend in Capri—and Dyan O’Connor, who helped plan the event along with Wheeler. “Tonight is all about letting our hair down,” Javier declared, looking very jet-set playboy in all black. Claire Bernard wore her tresses wild and untamed with a Scorpions heavy metal t-shirt. “I’m loving your bob,” Derek Blasberg proclaimed to Wheeler. “I’m putting my hair up in a ponytail,” Minnie Mortimer announced. “It’s easier for me to bust out dance moves without my hair flying all over my face.”
“I need a blow-out,” begged a blonde beauty clutching a quilted Chanel bag. But the man with the magic hands was off duty. “I’m off to Grenada tomorrow for nine days with Jemma Kidd and Arthur Mornington,” Javier said, dancing his way through the throng.
