I saw Gemma yesterday in SoHO. She was walking with some rather odd looking guy. At first I wasn't sure that I was her (she had sunglasses on) but you could tell that she stood out from the other models that roam that area. She was wearing a brown leather skirt, most likely kors, a loose white top and flip-flops. And of course the customary big brown bag. One thing to note: i'm not a stalker. I see models in SoHo all the time, they stick out like a sore thumb. But you see models like Gemma not that often and so me and my sister had to find out if it was really her (we always kept a safe distance of around 30 feet). So after following her a couple of blocks the guy left and she went into a clothing store, took off her sun glasses and it was totally her . I still had my sun glasses on and tried to catch a peak of her when she would not notice. I deliberately did not want her to see me look at her because i'm sure people stare and bother her all the time and i just wanted to leave her alone. That's why i did not even want to talk to her. She is a true beauty. I was never a big fan of her because of her alien look but she totally looks perfect in person. Her forehead is not that big at all and her facial features go perfect together. Her nose is totally cute. She looks very tall and skinny, but everything is in wonderful proportions. Her legs are amazing as well. One interesting thing is that she totally checked me out B) . My sister also agrees. I don't know if it was my YSL pants or my dolce&gabbana shirt or the fact that i am 6"4 tall and she thought I might be a model too (I personally don't think that of myself) but first she gave me a long bottom to the top look, and then she came very very close and looked at me...we made eye contact although I was wearing my glasses still . Now i regret a little bit that i did not say anything. She tried a dress on, and then left the store going in opposite direction from us.
I must say that she is probably the most perfect and unique model that i've seen. I saw karolina (she has an awfully big nose when looked from the profile), izabel, miranda, emina, marija, carolina trentini and winberg, polina, katja s., tiiu and others backstage this past weekend at the runway shows and none of them stood out as much as did gemma. hope she stays that way and maybe i can catch her backstage next february.
