Scott Speedman has signed up to star opposite Liv Tyler in the previously announced thriller 'Strangers'.

The 'Underworld' thesp will play the role of Tyler's boyfriend in the film, which sees the couple menaced by three masked intruders while holidaying in a remote country house.

As announced, one of the three intruders will be supermodel Gemma Ward, not exactly the most terrifying prospect for the trapped couple, but director Bryan Bertino is sure to have a catch up his sleeve in this regard.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, shooting has already started in South Carolina.
