Loves it! THe dress really does wonders for her lithe figure, but i do have one problem, i cant seem to understand why Gemma will not jouj up her hair. Every outtake i see, she is rocking stringy hair..:yuk:I need her to thicken it up, something! I understand that she wants to give her hair a break from the demands of a model's life, but STILL! I would love a nice wavy curl, a bang, something!

from news.com.au

FORMER Neighbours star Guy Pearce was a long way from Ramsay St this week - becoming the toast of the New York arts scene for his acclaimed portrayal of the city's iconic pop artist Andy Warhol.
With big screen siren and co-star Sienna Miller on his arm, the Aussie actor was the man of the moment at the second event the New York A-list has thown in honour of his latest feature film, Factory Girl.

Post screening, fashion designer Calvin Klein and the Cinema Society hosted a swanky after party at the Gramercy Park Hotel, where another famous Aussie export - model turned actress Gemma Ward - made a surprise cameo.

Cajoled off the Sydney set of local flick The Black Balloon, Ward has momentarily removed her actress hat to fulfill a modelling commitment in the Big Apple, but is expected to be back in Oz early next week.

she's only going to be showing in paris.... she misses new york/milan/ london (even though i dont think she's ever been to london...) because of shooting for the black balloon

 :o

at least we'll have a gemma movie at the end of it...

;) :flower: :D

although... its not like Gems really needs show cards anymore, who is going to forget her? Maybe IMG is just trying to save some money :p

hahaha, right  I notice that too! but we're talking about supermodel -- which is they're already pretty ! So maybe they dont take the hair thing really seriously :flower: (even she 100% looks better if she do her hair!)

Gemma Ward Has Done Her Share of Fashion Weeks

Gemma Ward, the most fawnlike of supermodels, is skipping New York's Fashion Week to film The Black Balloon in Australia. Before she left, Gemma talked to New York's Jada Yuan at the Cinema Society screening of the Edie Sedgwick biopic Factory Girl.

What's the movie about?
It's kind of a love story. It's about me and this boy, and he has an autistic brother, so it's about how he deals with the autistic brother and his family. It's not my first film. I did a small role with Liv Tyler in a horror movie called The Strangers.

Will you be doing any runway this season?
I'm doing Paris Fashion Week. I have to say, I've done my fair share of Fashion Weeks, but I am going to miss all my friends, because we always have so much fun, especially in New York.

Why do you have more fun here than at the couture shows?
Well, I live here, so I know it better. And all my friends are here. And all the Australians come over, all the editors from Australian Vogue and everyone I know from working there. We all kind of converge. It's just more social. Paris is pretty social as well, but there are lots of great parties in New York, and we all know where to go for lunches and stuff. In Milan we don't know where to go, so you end up staying in.

Do you end up partying even after the after-parties?
No, no, no. I could never wake up and work if I did that.

came with this..
