This picture below was taken yesterday, Monday, February 6, 2006, backstage at the Carolina Herrera show - photog c credit to First View. It presents a totally different look than the (discussed) ones that were snapped a mere 2 or 3 hours later in 2 different shows....
All of the photographers & fashionistas in this forum and the dressing experiences of everyone here surely know the effects of baggy clothes, bold bright (esp orange) colors and plaids-wear -- put up against a 2-D camera....
Herrera's clothes were the only ones that did not "overdress" where I saw Gemma in attendance.... and we even could comment on the effects the crazy design on these slacks could have but I'll leave it alone....
I think what we really are having here is a clothing & photography discussion -- which should continue to keep us within dicussion board guidelines. A few more days of clothes being paraded and photographed should bear witness to this. Just check out some of these same designer lines of clothes in other model threads.
I just feel like she is getting undue attention when I think it is the "fashion presentation" that should be questioned.... One show added a good 20-30 to all of the models imho...
And yeah, sure, she's great no matter what -- but I think this misses the point of accurate observation.... and I see it emerging in a few other model threads now where some of our other friends also got cast in unusual likenesses by these same shows...
Just compare her face pictured below with the others shown above and an interesting discussion of the designers, make-up artists and runway effects might emerge.

Call me crazy but I have seen enough Gemma in last few weeks to really think we are off on mostly a wild tangent. Onto aother day of shows...
