just so proud of Gemma... Perth is the most isolated city in the world and this unassumimg girl from Perth has taken on the world (or the fashion world at least) and conquered it . With a combination of intelligence, abstract beauty and some thing special Yayyyyyy gemma OK I'm from Western Australia originally so am biased but hey!!! (and I've been out for dinner and drank too much wine)

the pics of her losing her shoe are quite cute! ever the professional, Gemma marches on....

i actually saw Gemma trip in one of her first runway shows. this was in 2002 i think for Australian Fashion week. she was walking in Fashion Assassin, and tripped while walking down the runway next to another model. Gemma sort of giggled, then immediately her facial expression changed to one of embarrassment.

at the finale, when all the models came out, Gemma looked like she had been crying backstage. her eyes were a bit swollen.

anyway, my little story is just something i wanted to share, not in a nasty way, but to show what a wonderful young woman Gemma Ward is. in the Fashion Assassin show, she would have been 14 or 15, and now she's all grown up at the age of 18......it's a huge achievement for her to be at the top of the modelling game at such a young age. i believe it's not only her looks alone that sets her apart from other models, but her wonderful personality
