Gemma Ward

Does anyone have the October 2005 Vogue Paris with Gemma and Du Juan on the cover? I'm looking for a scan of a Natasha Poly editorial. I figured, maybe Gemma fans have the magazine.

Thanks if anyone can help.

news from today about Daily Mini & Gemma in NY Observer Daily Transom

excerpt: "Ms. Niro introduced her cover girl, the 18-year-old Australian model-of-the-moment, Gemma Ward. This, explained Ms. Niro, is The Biggest Supermodel In The World Right Now. She is losing her accent, but says she has yet to master American slang."

I really want to like her, but she seems so so unattractive to me!
Anyone please explain me why you all love her? :flower:

It's okay. When she first came out, I didn't like her either and I really didn't know why all the mags were using her but she is a very good model and extremely versatile. She may not be beautiful in a way that is 'mainstream' but she has very pretty features that can be altered by the use of make-up and she knows how to appear a certain way in a photograph that makes it appear more intriguing and interesting. In other words, Gemma is more like a piece of art, you have to examine her before the whole picture comes together. Well, that's my opinion anyway.

I thought Gemma was the strangest looking creature at first, but the more I saw her, the more she grew on me -- now she's one of my favorites! Her features are more unique than conventionally beautiful, but there's just something about her photographs and her composure on the runways that draw you in...haha, pretty much everything TGA said, I guess! ;) (But I think many of us would agree)

She posed naked for Prada? You must've meant Calvin Klein Obsession? :flower:

Same here! :)

I was opposed to Gemma at first, particularly because she looked *so* young and that kind of worried me (especially with her posing nude) but then I started to like her unique look more and more. And there are times where she looks very chic and grown up (like the Hermes ad where she's walking the streets of Paris)

But no worries LeonieAlexandria, what would the world be like if everyone liked Gemma? Some people will, some people won't and that's okay! I just wish everyone were as respectful as you in expressing their dislike :flower:

Viva diversity and diverse tastes I say! :p
