Thanks 4 the pics, Skywire! ;)

Could anyone tell me more about this picture of gemma: photographer, when, for what... It is one of my favorites of Gemma and would like to have it printed out big, so I can hang it on my wall

Love, DW

I thought she looked perfect at Chloe, when I saw her on the runway I thought she would be perfect for the campaign.

As the models this year at shows seemed to have a different look. Am I the only one that thinks it would be wise for Gemma to "do something" about her image to stay relevant? There weren't that many doll faces used this s/s 2007 season. I'm afraid that she be starting to fade out. Maybe become a little more edgier, sexier but not too mainstream?

^^Well she did just finish filming her first real movie role and she has a larger movie in a film thats beginning to film in january...so that might be her and IMGs idea to stay relevant right now. But IMG is probably one of the best career advisors in the industry right now (in my opinion anyway) so I don't think we have to worry too much about her. I think at this point she's still so young and has such a history and personal relationship with so many designers that they wouldn't have a reason to not use her for things, you know?

Gemma isn't "edgy" any more. She was very much so three years ago - she pretty much instigated the whole "baby doll" trend - but that's over now, and Gemma, of course, has to move with the times. Notice that most of the other true baby dolls are fading out (eg. Lily Cole) and the aesthetic is becoming much more angular (eg. Daiane Conterato, Suvi Koponen, Irina).

But, of course, that will change too - in another three years there'll be another "trendy" look in fashion - that's how it goes. Good on Gemma for lasting, I say! :)

Gemma and her bookers know that her look wasn't going to be in forever, I'm sure. Anyway, she doesn't particularly have to be edgy, new and avant garde these days - she's Gemma Ward. That's enough for her now.

Even though her look isn't incredibly "in" right now, she's still gonna do well 'cause she's so famous. Let's just pray she can hold on to that!

Go Gem!
