:buzz::buzz::buzz::buzz:

thanks for a wonderful welcome back:lol:

I'm slowly remembering.:ermm: I'm not sure still...

but, I get my new laptop on Monday, so I will connect my scanner to it soon and I'll be able to scan some really cool photos of her with Amy Finlayson and Jesse Gomes and Nicole Trunfio

OH I REMEMBER NOW!!!!!

I was going through my old Vogues, I found Gemma Hawaii issue from September 2004. I found in the travel section a really small photo of Gemma surfing (she looks so cute!!!) and there's a mention of her encouraging the writer to surf.:buzz:

unfortunately:blush: I left it at my other home:rofl:

and is this new?

Model Gemma Ward Leaps Around and Gets Naked

Name: Gemma Ward
Age: 19
Job: Model-actress
Neighborhood: East Village, but on the move …

Who's your favorite New Yorker, living or dead, real or fictional?
Bob Dylan.

What's the best meal you've eaten in New York?
I have had my fair share of four-hour lunches at La Bottega at the Maritime Hotel, but it's a great hang and the margherita pizza is fantastic.

In one sentence, what do you actually do all day in your job?
Drink coffee and read the paper while getting hair, makeup, and nails done, get undressed, get dressed, pose, leap, laugh, get undressed, eat lunch, touch-ups, get dressed, get undressed, get dressed. etc. etc. etc.

Where do you get your coffee?
The Australian cafe Ruby's on Mott Street. You can't beat an Australian flat white.

What's the last thing you saw on Broadway?
The Producers. Very funny.

Do you give money to panhandlers?
Yes, to the local guy who I see every day and I have a soft spot for.

What's your drink?
Vodka anything or rosé at lunch.

How often do you prepare your own meals?
Not often enough.

What's your favorite medication?
Tylenol PM.

What's hanging above your sofa?
A collection of antique mirrors and pictures.

How much is too much to spend on a haircut?
I'm very privileged to not have to pay for haircuts because I get my hair cut by friends who are hairdressers or on set.

When's bedtime?
I don't have much of a say in that as my body is perpetually jet-lagged.

Brunch: pro or con?
Major pro! There's nothing better than a New York Sunday brunch …

What's your thread count?
I don't know. I don't count my threads.

What do you hate most about living in New York?
Sirens and rubbish trucks at five o'clock in the morning.

What's your brand of jeans?
Tsubi.

When's the last time you drove a car?
When I was 16 on a friend's vineyard in Australia, but I nearly drove the thing into a dam so I've given up. I love that I don't need to drive in New York — it's all about walking, cabs, and the subway.

Who should be the next president?
Al Gore.

Times, Post, or Daily News?
I subscribe to the New York Times online so I keep up to date while on the move with updates sent to my phone, but I can't help a little peek of "Page Six" in the Post every now and then!

Yankees or Mets?
No answer. It’s too political.

What makes someone a New Yorker?
If you talk fast, walk fast, eat fast, and have a caffeine and BlackBerry addiction, you're a New Yorker in my books.

After reading this, I love her even more! Jessica Stam's answers to a similar(or same?) set of questions disappointed me.

WHERE'S WARD?

DON'T expect to see Gemma Ward on the catwalks this season - the supermodel is taking a two-month sabbatical from modelling to star in The Black Balloon, a film set in her native Australia. We told you last September that the 19-year-old was keen to pursue a career in film, after making her debut in 2001's Pink Pyjamas, and it seems her dream is now becoming reality. One of the highest profile models in the world, Ward opened many of the major shows last season and her elfin looks will certainly be missed this year. She plans to bypass every show except for Paris's ready-to-wear collections. The face of numerous campaigns, including Calvin Klein, Prada and Yves Saint Laurent, Ward shot to fame at the age of 16, when she was the youngest chosen to be in a Vogue shoot of nine It-girls of the modelling world, including Daria Werbowy, Gisele Bdchen and Karolina Kurkova. Just months later, British photographer Nick Knight described her as, "one of the very, very few models who look as though they come from another dimension". Speaking of her forthcoming foray into the film world, Ward's spokeswoman told WWD: "She's having a riot as it's a project she's been working on for years and it's an all-Australian crew." The film, directed by Elissa Down and starring Toni Colette, is about an adolescent boy's struggle to deal with his autistic brother. Ward takes on the role of the adolescent's girlfriend, Jackie. Did Vogue Espana use a picture from the Allure aditorial as their cover? Or does it just look incredibly similar?

The photo was from the Allure editorial - personally, I enjoy the cover more than the editorial photo.

"This project is the realization of one of the many opportunities I saw when Forstmann Little acquired IMG," said Ted Forstmann, Chairman and CEO of IMG. "IMG's fashion events have always been focused on a select group of industry insiders, and while it is important that we continue to build that business, I am enthusiastic that we are able to also create a dynamic platform that connects with consumers as we build FashionWeekLive around the world."
The exclusive industry fashion event will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for fashionistas around the country to get a first hand glimpse at selected looks from the Fall 2007 collections of America's leading designers before they are in store windows or even in magazine layouts. A comprehensive list of participating designers will be announced at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York, February 2 to 9, 2007.
"We have long sought a way to bring the glamour of our events to consumers," said Fern Mallis, Vice President of IMG Fashion. "Chicago, Houston, Dallas and San Francisco are among the most fashion savvy cities in the world and there is a real interest in this sort of event, which will allow high end consumers to take a look at the designers' collections before they are available anywhere."
The evening's events in each market will include a special champagne reception and pre-event cocktail in a grand lobby similar to fashion weeks around the world. Guests will then be led into the show venue to enjoy the hour long production, featuring the designer looks modeled by world famous supermodels Naomi Campbell and Gemma Ward along with Caroline Winberg, Erin Wasson and others to be announced.
In addition to the key looks presented throughout the show, FashionWeekLive will present a capsule collection from a different renowned designer in each city, who will be on hand to take their bow from the runway and celebrate with guests at a special on site VIP after-party. Designers will be announced during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York, February 2nd to 9th.
All of the events in Chicago, Houston and Dallas will take place in tented superstructures, similar to those erected for the shows in New York's Bryant Park. In Chicago tents will be raised in Millennium Park, in Houston the show will take place in Water Wall in Uptown and in Dallas the events will be in Victory Park. In San Francisco the event will take place in Ft. Mason, with its spectacular views.
"It's a producer's dream project showcasing the best clothes, the best models, and the best locations," said show Producer/Director Kevin Krier, "one of the unique aspects of this event is that we are going to be giving our guests the true fashion week experience -- something that these cities haven't seen before and certainly no where near on this scale." FashionWeekLive is produced by IMG, presented by Sephora, and sponsored by Swarovski, Mercedes-Benz, LYCRA®, DHL, and Moet & Chandon.
