has apparently forgiven John Galliano for making her repeatedly throw herself backwards into a grey paper backdrop for his spring/summer 2007 Dior ad campaign. "I did get a Christmas card from her, so she's alright," he joked to WWD. "[She] was body-slamming the whole day." Photographer Craig McDean shot the ads for the first time – bringing to an end a long-term collaboration with Nick Knight but, says Galliano, McDean is "from the school of Nick Knight, as many of them are". The ads are due to appear in the March issues of magazines and they are, adds the designer, "where Dior should be today". (January 30 2007, AM)

Freewheeling curator James Fuentes' new gallery finally opened this past Friday with a bang. Brian DeGraw, a one-fourth of Gang Gang Dance did the honor of breaking the cherry with a rainbow arched satanic dada solo show called "Behead The Genre." Officially named James Fuentes LLC, the joint is located way-downtown on the edge of Chinatown near Dim Sum Go Go on St. James Place. So perfect! And, of course, no opening is complete without the afterparty. It was at – where else? – Beatrice Inn and extremely fun. Taka Imamura busted out some of his nasty Reggaeton tracks and Gemma Ward was there dancing and looking very modelicious!
