I just went to the Celine boutique and saw a really gorgeous purple handbag in the new arrival section.. it cost around $1500... I couldnt find the pics from the net.. anyopne know which bag Im talking about? its a deep puple hue, really niiiice... frustated from the waiting list of balenciaga's, Im considering to get this one instead.

i think this is the verdine bag... in drummed purple leather? i've been considering this too but i wanted to wait till i heard/saw more 'cause i've only seen it in their catalogue

FYI, I saw this bag in purple at Nordstrom (not sure if it's the one the original poster was looking for). personally, I hate the big iron looking closure.

that color is so gross. i have the purple one and i really like the lock thing. you twist it to open or lock it... the leather is really nice

Thought the bag that Lilygirl posted was the Verdine? Saw that bag in lavender-purple and blue-ish purple in the display window of the S'pore Celine store...both gorgeous colours!!! Made me just wanna jump through the glass and grab them both!!!

the purple is very pretty, but I still hate the doorknocker and the leather is quite fragile (the one in the store had only been out a few days and was covered in scratches).
