it is a large bag, but the dimensions are deceptive because they're not crazy or anything. the reason this bag is too big for some people is due to its square, somewhat stiff boxy shape, and the pockets which jut out. I love big bags, but found the reporter not flattering on me. unless you can return it easily, I strongley suggest you try it on in person.

in addition to meowmix's suggestion, see if you can find the candids of kylie minogue and madonna carrying it -- I think it doesn't look good on them because they're on the petite side. however, it looked great on uma because she's an amazon.

Chanel 12397G (The Chanel "Kelly")

do any of you have any information on this bag? the style number is 12397G... it looks a lot like a kelly bag... and comes in either caviar or mat calfskin quilted leather with a cc-emblem twist-lock. it's so darling

chanel actually calls this the "kelly" and it's part of their permanent collection. it's very cute, but a little impractical (like the kelly). I recently saw a version with silver hardware. I think it's $1200.

I saw this bag IRL before, and I think it's cute, structured, but unfortunately, it can't hold all that much.
That said, I think it's gorgeous in the caviar leather!
