I think, her runway works are alright. Looks a little kiddy at times but gosh! Her editorials! Looks like something from a kids magazines!

I think The whole world would have forgotten about her by the time she's 17/8. Disadvantage of starting so young.

well, like, I don't mean to say tashy. I guess what I mean to say is just kind of ironic. I mean this girl is being hailed as "The Next Naomi/Tyra" (which is really kind of dumb because the only basis for that prediction that all of them are black and tall) and she walks in all these big shows, yet she is now modeling for seventeen (i understand it gives you a lot of public display, but SEVENTEEN? so boring!) and stuff... but whatever. I guess its all about the money even though you could probably get more walking in an Esteban Cortezar or Alexander McQueen show.

I really like Gerren, she was discovered around 11 years old and considered a prodigy! And doesn't she look like Naomi? Word is, she has the same 'divaness' of Naomi. But I love her face. She's 15 now which is still pretty damn young!

To be honest I dont see anything with Gerren. I think shes may have had some problems in New York because I remember she was with NY, then over to DNA, then to trump, and I dont think she has any representation in NY. Her face is too "babyish" for me, she dosent come off as a "model"..more of a cute kid.

I like Gerren too. I ran into her and her mom in London and they were very nice. Gerren had done the Bolz magazine cover and a few shows. She said that she's been taking it easy and concentrating on school, friends, and volleyball.

She also said that she'll be starring in a film, but I don't remember much about that. But she said that she'd be back to NY very soon. It seems like I asked her tons of questions, but she was very gracious.

I hope she does come back, I loved her on the runway.

I totally agree.. her face lacks punch for me and I don't get her appeal in terms of top model. She looks more like a friend's cute little sister.

I think its strange though how Vlada, Gemma,Stam, Heather etc.. have essentially that same cute little girl look, and it totally works for them. Not to raise a controversial topics, but I find it strange that the whole cute little girl look doesn't work in Garren's favor whereas it works for the Bugs. Sort of like how there's a strong market for skinny white male models, but virtually none for non white male models. Just an observation..

For Gerren, my opinion is just that her face lacks any real shape or excitement. Heather has the extra wide eyes with the big forehead, and same with Vlada along with the cheekbones. gerren's face just sorta smushes together if you know what I mean.

I agree RyanRyan,

When those models look first came out it was considered alien, extraterrestrial, etc.......On the street I'm not sure if they would be considered beautiful; but the industry has a different perception of beauty. They create and tell us what beauty is in their arena.

In the same way Gerren has a different type of feature and believe me, if photographers etc....got behind her look, it would be "the look". So it is interesting how it's ok for non ethnic models to look like they came from a another planet........but non ethnic models.....well......

The movie that Gerren told me about sounds promising. It will be very interesting to see what happens if it's successful. I wish her well, as I do all aspiring models and especially ones on TFS.....

That could be true fashionjury; because I haven't seen anymore black models in his marc by marc campaigns, nor his marc by marc shows.

I'm gonna have to disagree with some of you guys. I think that Gerren is going to be huge in a few years time. Sure she's young now, but so was Kimora and Mila. I think she has an interesting look to her. I've seen her walk the runway, and she can without a doubt IMO walk. She's really good. And when she's on runway she doesn't really look 12 (or now 14 or 15). I'm a big fan of hers but I don't think she is the next Naomi or Tyra. She's going to be the next big thing though.
