Gia Carangi

yeah when Cindy was younger she did kind of look like Gia. I don't think it's that striking, especially now, but if you find some pictures of Cindy when she first started I can sort of see it.

But Gia I think was prettier ;)

No problemo, Ms Stardust (Love the song, by the way!)
That is a great issue, I agree! Its just FULL of her and really classic shoots aswell

Hey,

Thanks for all the photos. I always did think Gia was one of the most beautiful women who ever graced the earth with her presence.

She was one of those people, who I think was born to be a model. Her career took off so quickly and her Cosmo cover with the yellow bathsuit, is one of my favorite covers ever. Her E! true hollywood story is so sad, but interesting. Sorry but I thought she was more beautiful then Cindy Crawford, eventhough people called Cindy BabyGia.

I absolutely agree with you....remember about five or more years ago there was talk about a Hollywood big screen version movie being made about Gia's life? What ever happened to that idea?I would still really LOVE to see one.The HBO Angelina Jolie movie was touching but at times so HBO and not truthful.Maybe one that tells the truth and an actress who portrays Gia and doesn't mix it up with herself-would be nice.I like Angelina in the movie but I felt that she stole the thunder of the story and focused on herself.

never seen those pics before..B)

Are you sure? I thought the second one wasn't certain, what with the sunglasses and close up and all, but the first one looks very Gia to me. Thanks lady stardust for bringing them in for discussion :flower:

Shouldn't this wonderful thread be moved to 'icons from the past'? Such a lovely woman...

Well, personally I don't think all the iconic models should be moved to the stars forum but kept in the supporting cast forum :flower:
