Giambattista Valli Haute Couture S/S 2020

I can't look at the yellow without thinking Rihanna at the Met Gala.

Get rid of the mask since everyone will immediately think Valentino since the house used them most recently with impact.

I can barely see anything because of the photography.

I literally want to remove something from every outfit.
The Pierpaolo trend of excess is not a trend to follow. I get that Valli is cheaper than Valentino but come on.

Giambattista definitely learned the technique from his master Emmanuel Ungaro but he needs to study more because he still doesn’t get excess in the right way.

It's a shame about the photography - I saw the pictures of the presentation on Nowfashion and it's probably the best thing he's done in years (which really doesn't say anything at all, since he's been awful for the past 3 years (at least)), but those pictures don't reflect that at all... Reminds me of his '00s shows, but more colorful and more obviously inspired by Pierpaolo.

Oh god, he won't stop, will he? The photography is just uncomfortable. The clothes are all over the place. There is surely a market for this and that's why he's been doing over the top, excessive looks like this. It feels so weird how his heavy his hands are compared to his early collections when tulle gowns feel light and precise.

What's up with this camera work? I can't even see the clothes, and aren't the clothes the whole point?

Is Valli too broke to stage a proper runway show?

I don't get the photography either, like trying to be edgy and quirky but failing badly. Some of the looks are nice, I like how he played with volume although I totally agree a lot of it is similar to PP's Valentino
