The cuts are fabulous. He really was a master of the human silhouette. In my opinion, it'll probably have the best fits of any show.

It'll be interesting to read how this is received.

I guess in the reviews, we'll have the name of G.Ferré new designer...

oh, i feel horrible saying this, but i think my shock at his sudden death has actually made me enjoy his final work where i normally find nothing i like from the house of ferre...

I'll have to see the rest of the collection, but so far, so good. Bravo, M. Ferré!

Some of this is almost Ford-for-Gucci-esque  Adore!

i love the 2nd look in post 1. the jackets are also amazing.
cant wait for more! who are the kids?

its a very nice collection, (i need to see the whole)
but in reality i think we as lovers of fashion have yet to graps what wev have lost in the death of Mr. Ferre
the reality is , Outside of Armani and Versace, there was not, and still isn't a designer in Milan that was as good as he was, in some ways he was even better than Armani and Versace, because he possesed a technical mastery and a Utilitarian edge than none of them possesed (the only designer who have come close, in menswear was Alexandre at Cloak,)
He was one of the last true technical designers to have existed, and while he was overshadowed by the hype surrounding many of his peers, for anyone who own any of his clothing, (or have seen it up close) they understand what i am trying to say.............

absolutely.

on the technical point, i completely agree. unfortunately, fashion's not simply about technique, even at its most pure. i've seen his pieces up close -- even had a chance to try on a few things here and there -- and while some of them struck me as remarkable, none of them had that swoon-inducing quality as some of the other less-technically-accomplished houses have. for my money, i'd rather own three pairs of neil barrett pants over one well-crafted ferre leather jacket. i'm more apt to buy a dolce and gabbana suit not because its altogether nicer, but because of the aspirational quality of that brand.

i tend to think that only the disproportionately self-confident -- not to mention inordinately wealthy -- could partake in ferre because there's just always been something else that whets the appetite a little more for those of us who have to budget.

i wonder will the post the rest of this collection on any of the main sites....
