she's been SO big for SO long now ... it's really quite awesome!
i was cleaning out old boxes of magazines today and i dug up an old issue of Maxim (*i know, i know ... don't judge though, i was in high school!*) and on it's cover was Yamila Diaz with the main article "MODELS OF THE YEAR 2000" inside they profiled a bunch of models who were big that year (none of which did much worth noting thereafter -- ex: Shakara Ledard, Magdalena Wrobel, Kim Smith, etc) ... then they had another bit called "Icons Who We'll Never Give Up" and it was 5 models who had all had great success -- Daniela Pestova, Laetitia Casta, Bridget Hall, Tyra Banks .. and Gisele. well, obviously Gisele is more successful and famous than any of those other models at this point (*excluding, perhaps, Tyra*) at the time she had only really been popular for about 1 year. which led me to thinking ...
Was Gisele an Icon from the start? And if so, there truly hasn't been anyone like her since.
Gisele Bundchen and boyfriend Tom Brady walk hand in hand in New York City on Wednesday.
The 28-year-old model has been busy taking care of Tommy due to his recent season-ending football injury.
In an effort to raise money for Russell Simmons‘ Diamond Empowerment Fund, Gisele will be selling a personal jewelry collection at a special auction for Christie’s in New York. The auction will include a 6-carat diamond ring worth approximately $150,000 and a 3.35-carat Sabbadini diamond ring worth approximately $20,000.
