Unfortunately I did see Taxi and I don't predict Gisele will be getting any Oscars. I didn't think the moie was that funny. I chuckled a few times, but that's it. I saw it on DVD so at least I didn't waste my $ at the theaters. I was disapointed b/c I was curious about Gisele's acting abilty (which I now think she doesn't have), and I like Queen Latifah and Jimmy Fallon. It should have been much better!

basically, a year ago gisele was talkimng about acting & thus taxi.
when that film flopped & landed on many '10 worst of 2004' lists, she shut up real fast about acting.
it is no longer on the topic for convo.
thats how much of a flop taxi was & her acting ambitions with it

She said in Vanity Fair before the movie came out that she wanted to focus the next two years strictly on modeling.

I saw that show too. I think it's a good approach for a model to take-just seeing it as somethng different, a fun thing to do. Unfortunately the movie was NOT a "fun" comedy. It was a fairly boring one. Oh well.

Its the whole package, the face - her cheekbones, the way her lips kind of arch at the tips and that super incredible aerodynamic body - it looks firm, unlike the fragility of say, a gemma ward or something that seems to have delicate skin.

though everyone is ripping gisele for her acting ability . . . i must say that she had a huge screen presence. not just because she was gorgeous, i mean the other brazilian's were hot too. but she just lit up the screen. the camera loved her, and IMO, she really wasn't nearly as bad as most people are saying. i think that the role didn't do anything to showcase what acting talent she may actually have.

anyway, as scblonndie said, she didn't take acting seriously anyway. it was something different for her and something fun. she's not trying to segway into an acting career.

though i do predict a music album in the coming years. gisele has become quite good on the acoustic guitar, from what i hear, and apparently she has a nice, dusty springfield-esque singing voice.
