as great as her VS years were, I am so happy she left that whole chapter behind. Yes, it was marvelous and very enjoyable, but also, she left VS just before the brand became unbearably tacky and lame.

She is so much more than VS.

That is: just before VS got back to their classier roots The top of tackiness was the last year of Gi for VS.

If you mean 2006, I disagree-2007 was the worst year, largely because no one was used to her absence. 2008, they recovered (mostly). I do miss her for VS, although it's nice to see a VS model go back to fashion so successfully
Now if only she's do more runway...

I think Gis made Victoria Secret what it was: a huge spectacle. Granted, VS had always been huge, but hher image alone made the brand a global sensation. She was the least tacky thing about the brand: she never smiled, she never wore the most embarrassing outfits, she treated the runway as a Galliano show: stern, stoic, strict and solid.

When all the other girls were flirting and smiling and sending kisses left and right, Gis looked effortlessly unique. She lost nothing when she left yet I do not know who cares about VS anymore. It lost its spark.

you are right, Gi treated the VSFS as a real fashion show, I loved that about her. That's why her walk always gave me chills I guess so freaking fierce! She would occasionally give a smirk at the end of the runway too, which was just the right amount if you ask me
