True, Gisele is a superstar in Brazil, everybody knows who she is. Any model talk has to include Gisele, and all the models look up to her, she really is an icon in every way in Brazil. I can't imagine a brazilian who doesn't know who Gisele is.

Going forward, it will be interesting to see whether the new bride and new mom keeps up her big-bucks, pre-baby modeling career or if she opts for semi-retirement to raise a family in Brookline. Oh, when will Gisele unveil her post-baby body to the world? She's probably hiding out in her house in Boston with Tom Brady until she loses the extra five pounds of baby weight she gained. But soon enough she'll shoot an ad campaign for Brazilian jeans company Colcci, according to Made in Brazil. Brazilian papers report that David Sims will shoot the ads in Boston, which is kind of strange since it's not a go-to destination for fashion shoots, but as long as Gisele is holed up there with Tom and baby Benjamin (bless her for choosing a real name!), fashion companies are sure to flock to her. Especially for the coveted bumpless reveal. As soon as she can and will travel again, we imagine people will start flying her around so they don't have to journey to fashion-starved Boston, where it's painfully cold, the streets make no sense, and Red Sox baseball hats are the "It" accessory year-round.

The 29-year-old made a massive $35 million in 2009 despite taking a break to give birth to her first child with her sports star husband Tom Brady, reports imdb.com.

Despite that her pregnancy left the supermodel sidelined for much of the year, Bundchen still managed to outperform her catwalk rivals in the financial stakes earning $35 million for her modelling duties.

The pay cheque puts her top of a list of the world's best paid models, pushing British beauty Kate Moss, who made $7.5 million, into second place.

Bundchen's fellow Brazilian, and Victoria's Secret angel Adriana Lima was third in the list, followed by another face of the famous underwear brand, Doutzen Kroes, in fourth.

The top five is rounded out by Czech model Karolina Kurkova, who also took time off to have a baby in October last year.

i do not know why you guys believe all those articles! Never in the history of models(or any other profession i suppose) anybody has ever revealed how much they were making for an year or in general! Nobody will never know and anybody can ONLY guess! None of these funny articles are every true or even close to the truth!
Gisele certainly is one of the biggest models of all times and every big model is making big money! She is not the only one and will not be the only one...there have been many before her and there will be many after her! But i do not even know why I am writing this as i do not even care how much they make! It is logical that if she is one of the biggest and most famous and hard-working models, she will be making tons of money! but it is impossible for a model(no matter how big or small) to make such an amount for 1 year!

finally someone has said it actually she even said once that what they say about what she makes is not true. i guess it makes news if they put out statements like that clearly.
