Gisele Bundchen’s trainer, Leandro Carvalho, isn’t surprised that his former supermodel client opted to deliver baby Benjamin in a family bathtub. Because Gi’s used to laboring in the water!
According to the New York-based Equinox fitness guru, the supermodel was a big fan of his Brazilian Body Surf workout in the pool - a “very athletic” regimen of running, jumping and water-resistance training.
“We use noodles, gloves, Aquafins,” said the Brazilian sultan of celebrity sweat. “It is very good for the legs, for toning and definition. Gisele was in very, very good shape.”
Carvalho also trains Victoria’s Secret lingerie lady Alessandra Ambrosio, aka The Body Angel, and even developed his Brazilian Butt Lift - a mix of maritial arts and ballet that focuses on lifting the butt, natch, as well as reducing ze hips.
“It’s really very fun,” he told the Track.
We’ll take your word for it, Leandro.
The energetic fitness guru has been known to accompany his supermodel charges to the supermarket to help them eat healthy before their big catwalk moments.
“I show up at the supermarket on Sundays again, again and again,” laughed Leandro. “Each time with a different model. The cashier tells me, ‘You must be a very rich man to be with all these beautiful girls!’ ”

This seems like a really random question to ask but does she have any cousins or relatives that are models? Probably established? It's a long story of why I want to know...![]()

INTERNATIONAL. ‘Earth's Frontiers' is a new monthly environmental programme on CNN International, which will bridge the gap between science fiction and the reality of managing the planet's finite resources.
Cutting edge, investigative and futuristic, 'Earth's Frontiers' promises to expose the challenges the planet faces from changing global resources; tests technologies being developed which will change ordinary people’s everyday existence; confronts businesses consuming irreplaceable resources and debates the best way forward for the future of the planet.
The first programme addresses a crucial issue facing the planet: where should we turn when the oil runs out? Wave, sun and wind power take centre stage, with a span across the globe to examine cutting-edge renewable resources.
The monthly programmes will be punctuated by quarterly studio debates, from major cities around the world, beginning in South Korea in April. Confirmed guests* in the April debate include: director James Cameron; model Gisele Bundchen; the President of the Maldives, Mohammed Nasheen, plus the entrepreneurs and business leaders, Virgin’s Richard Branson and Puma President Jay Pioccola will come together to discuss and debate, moderated by a CNN correspondent
CNN International’s audience will play a direct part in shaping the content of these debates, posting their reaction and opinion to the issues raised in the monthly programmes via a dedicated website www.cnn.com/earthsfrontiers, which will feature video footage, reports and contributions. These will also be accompanied by a wealth of iReporter comments and video via CNN’s citizen journalism site www.iReport.com.
Mike McCarthy, vice president of coverage and feature programming, CNN International said: “’Earth’s Frontiers’ will be one of CNN International’s most distinctive and audience-driven feature programmes to date.
By tackling the world’s most pressing environmental themes, presenting all sides of the argument and encouraging viewers to share their opinions, it will involve ordinary people having their say in the crucial environmental issues which affect their lives, leading to a comprehensive debate.”
