good one. ^ With all due respect, why compare models whom have only been around for a few years. Gisele has been around since 1995? and still going strong. She's long earned the title. Anyways it's just a nickname.

she's a goddess, i love how she looks and what she does but a model like candice can rival with her, she also got everything in the highest rung. so supermodel era it not going over, only because of gisele is getting older.... and dont work that much.

u would like to be that big like candice or erin! i respect new models, not like u!

first, what did Leo do to help Gisele´s career? in any case, she lost jobs when she moved to LA...
second, by Erin you mean Erin Wasson? cause she was the one I thought when I read the name... though I´m sure you´re talking about someone else... in any case, there are plenty of models who can achieve the supermodel title in the future but imo it´s not gonna be Candice.

Actually I like Candice. She is one of my fave new models and I think she can have an amazing career.

It's just different eras. Gisele rose to fame really quickly too. By 22 she was already pretty much a superstar model. Not just a VS model. Yes Leo (and VS) helped her fame but he had nothing to do with her fashion career that was already bangin 2 years before she even met him.

Gisele being "the last supermodel" was a term coined by Naomi Campbell, (I think?) and common sense will tell you that that is not something that Naomi or anyone else can dictate or predict, but it is a label that is going to stand until another actual supermodel emerges. I like Gisele well enough, but I have commented elsewhere on models who I think have the potential become supers, so I am not invested in Gisele being the last supermodel.

and I´m asking again, which Erin are you talking about? Heatherton? cause imo Wasson is more famous than her and she was the first one I thought about... that shows you that working for VS doesn´t give you first name recognition. Or an undeniable chance to be called a supermodel, not matter how much you/they wish it for... maybe I´m wrong for thinking than there´s more in the making of a supermodel than working for VS.
and this is not even their thread nor I´m bashing them, I´m only disagreeing with you.

for me a model doesnt need to be a vogue or karl l. fave to be a supermodel

We all have our own definition of what a Supermodel is and for me Gisele is 100% a true Supermodel in every sense of the word.
