I had to ask about what she thinks about the comparisons to Gisele Bundchen, which we've been hearing a lot of--the first model in years to straddle both high fashion and the lucrative lingerie worlds with serious success in both. "That's an incredible, incredible compliment," she said. "Not many people are able to do that. Gisele is someone who is a huge role model to me for many reasons, and even being mentioned in the same sentence as her is pretty cool to me."

What was your highlight of the spring/summer 12 shows? Taking Gisele’s portrait because she’s never at fashion week. I’ve been doing it for eighteen years and I’ve never seen her before, but this season she closed Givenchy. She looked fun and I was really pleased with the picture.

In early spring of this year, John Holland, Jack Donoghue, and a visibly pregnant Heather Marlatt took the stage at Santo’s Party House to play a thundering, cataclysmic set of songs from their celebrated SALEM LP King Night, submerged in a blinding fog designed by Thunder Horse Video. Their set climaxed with an ethereal and slow-burning cover of Alice Deejay’s radio rave anthem “Better Off Alone” that later took on a life of its own online, with message board trolls and last.fm stalkers harassing friends and fans like yours truly, begging for an mp3. Twenty hours ago, SALEM premiered their home-baked video for the song, which will appear on a new EP from IAMSOUND on November 22nd, grimly titled I’m Still in the Night. Tom said in an interview "his wife just got back from a trip cross country" also someone spotted her at LAX, so I think its safe to say she was indeed in palm springs.

my theory is the young hip vibe must not be working for Donatella so she brings in Mrs brand saver herself.

When it’s time to photograph, I follow my instincts. In the beginning, I was shy and didn’t know what to do. But gradually, I was getting the hang of it. Nowadays, I pretend I’m a character for each photo shoot; this way, it’s easier for me to face the camera.
